thanks frankell. I should have included that in my post. I realize that a link to a shortcut with a link to an exe might not work. I created the icon directly in OD. the setting points directly to the exe. thanks edit: thanks to WinMonster2. the solution is to use C:\Windows\Sysnative\tsdiscon.exe works perfectly. thank you

sorry if this has been asked before. search doesn't work for me here. is it possible to assign font size independently between docks? specifically, I created a systray dock and the default font is way too large. I can reduce the size in the main program but that reduces the font size for all docks. maybe a future implementation? thanks
I created a Switch User icon on my desktop to quickly switch between Users. The executable is located under C:\Windows\System32\tsdiscon.exe. This works perfectly fine from a desktop icon. However, when I create an OD icon it displays an error message: Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\System32\tsdiscon.exe'. Make sure.... any idea how to fix that? thanks Windows 7 64bit ODv2
yeah, takes much longer than in that preview on my system as well. 3-5secs at best. i7 920 with 9Gb Ram and a 3870Pro. what system do you need to get from 3-5 down to 1sec? impressive...
IAmPas, this is clearly different from other software companies who give those who just purchased a full license of a software that doesn't run on a new OS anymore the chance to obtain a license of an updated version that will run fine on the new OS. It apparently doesn't matter, irrespective of whether I was an ODT customer for years until recently and now "only" own copies of OD and WB. If your voices express Stardock's stand then I take that as a NO, will shut up and wait until I have money a
IAmPas, I am asking this question again because I truly can't believe that would be Stardock's policy. At least give the people who purchased Windowblinds 6 a chance to try this as well until it gets out of beta, at which point I am willing to pay (will probably ask for a discount though). If this is how it works then I am sorry that I have to give up a great program. Bichur, I read the posts twice, I am not "fine print" blind. I am still asking Stardock whether they exclude people who own an
I purchased windowblinds 6 and cannot install windowblinds 7 to get it to work on win7? I can register windowblinds 6 fine in Impulse but it tells me that I do not have the correct registration info for windowblinds7. Are you saying that I need to purchase a new license even though I purchased v6? thanks
awsome!,my constant nagging worked ;)thank you Stardock! too bad I have to purchase a new subscription to ODT to use it. that has to wait some time.
Different story altogether. Windowblinds integrates into the shell and is therefore a more difficult proposition to code for an OS that's just entered the RC stage of development and still subject to minor change.
thanks for the discussion and education folks. I realize that I was comparing apples to oranges.
there, take that as an example, windows 7 ready. how about windowblinds getting windows 7 ready?
yes, and where is the alpha or beta of windowblinds to try it??? I purchased a subscription of windowblinds but cannot use it :( . I thought surely when RC comes along there will be something to try... Looking forward to..... when?
smart Alec ;) , all I asked for was the status. Nowhere did I ask for a version of windowblinds for win7 in it's beta phase. And Stardock had news about how it comes along with a new version for when Vista was developed and before it hit the stores. thanks
since windows 7 is coming close to RC is there a topic somewhere in which a possible release of win7 compatible windowblinds is in the works? What is the status? thank you
thanks, I am wondering if it has to do with having two docks on each monitor on a dual monitor setup. I am running Nod32 AV.
similar to tylerisfat's post I have another problem with the flyout menu made by matonga. I have no problems with it in RocketDock at all. Often when I move the mouse across the dock it zooms out the icons and then freezes, leaving the icons in that position. I have two docks for each of my dual monitor displays. Only way to get OD back is to kill the process and restart the app. I love the Stacks Docklet but I can't use ODPlus with this. I switched to RocketDock for now, but of course loose
I am upset. It doesn't love me. I have written about this three times now, but apparently nobody cares. It doesn't love me, therefore it has nothing to do on my PC. still a memory conflict with TabTip.exe when you have a pen tablet installed on Vista. uses up more than 50% CPU (TabTip.exe and dwm.exe). A no go, at least for me. I can't believe I am the only one trying to run this with pen tablet. Could at least somebody try to verify this? sad
still a no go for me. 50 % of CPU usage when using Hand theme for example. TabTip (Tablet PC input) and DWM are using up CPU. I have Tablet PC input running because of my pen tablet. will try this again in a couple months. apparently there is a conflict and apparently nobody cares.
just installed this and I think I found a bug. when used while Tablet PC Input Panel is running (I am using a pen tablet for Photoshoping), the CPU goes up a couple notches (25% for DWM and 25% for Tablet Panel) and my fan is pretty loud. As soon as I disable any special cursors the CPU goes back to normal. hope this is abnormal and works fine for others.
wondering if this is reproducible on a different machine? can somebody who has curserfx and tablet PC Input

thank you, my default now
trying it right now. I like it a lot, however it uses up 60% of CPU most of the time I do sth with it (avaw.exe). It seems every time it needs to refresh the database view CPU spikes up for a couple minutes. Maybe just because of the large database (~3000albums).
yeah, all I see is the 82107 skin for Optix. that 1.5 months old already. for those who have this "older" one it's confusing. what is new?
If I read this correctly, deskscapes works with dual monitors, however it shows the same on each monitor. but this can be changed for dynamic dreams, however at this point none of the dynamic dreams allow me to do that? a little confused. I have a dual monitor setup and would like to have the collage spread over the entire area of the two monitors rather than each individually (and identical). looking forward to changes tgd
thanks for the quick reply, upgrading now. cheers
I am a little paranoid about updates with the recent false one that messed up my wb on Vista Ultimate 32bit. SDC shows me that 5.50.021 is available. I currently have the most recent beta installed. 5.49u(b).053. is it safe to upgrade? I refreshed my xml database but it still shows the upgrade. thanks
