I too have the problem with Windows 8.1 with the latest updates. I have found that it appears it doesn't accept some of the mouse clicks because application windows appear to not open or at least not be visible. If I toggle between LMI Dashboard and then back to Remote Control the application window appears. This seems like Windows event hooks are not being handled properly by LMI or Stardock and it is failing to repaint the screen.
