Feature Request: having the ability to backup and restore configs now is a beautiful thing. Will make it SO easy to upgrade when it comes time to get a new computer. One request though, would be to have an option to automatically back your configuration up on a schedule. Once a day, or once an hour, or something. So you have the config backed up in case of unplanned computer replacement (hard drive crashes, say). Preferably, this would allow you to specify the location and fil

Right clicking on programs in the start menu no longer shows the jump-list of recent items surfaced by the application in question. In v1, right-clicking Visual Studio popped up the VS context menu, including the recent items jump-list.

With the addition of pinned folder menus, this version now makes it possible to use Windows 11 as a daily driver! That was the last bit of functionality from Win10 and earlier MS had removed that I rely on in my daily work. Two features that would be really nice to polish that off though would be two new "items" to add to the taskbar... Current

Even disabling startmenu stuff in StartAllBack, they still don't play nicely. With that disabled, clicking on the start button the Start11 startmenu just flashes in and out forever, and you can't do anything with the taskbar/startmenu after that.

When adding folders to the links of Start11, as shown in the image below, please allow setting a custom icon for each, using the Windows standard icon picker dialog. When you have multiples, it would make it much easier to remember which is which. At the very least, please pick up the folder icon from Windows Explorer, if the folder already has its own custom icon set. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/0/6/6040/4ce023c0-37ca-4550-b144-6a3d6a4d3dd0

There were three things I hate about Win11's UI that prevent me from using it as a daily driver. Two of which now have workarounds. > The Start Menu. Start11 already handles this beautifully , restoring the far more useful Windows 10 start menu; HUZZAH! > The Address toolbar. Windows Power Toys' Run tool provides a reasonable workaround for this , <span style="background-color:

I wanted to combine Start11 with StartAllBack too... but for the taskbar popup menu folder toolbars that StartAllBack restored. Though even if Start11 could completely disable its taskbar customization, they would still conflict on the startmenu, no? Or did you find a way to completely disable StartAllBack from touching the startmenu? Cuz sadly SAB only has
Moving Icons Around If the taskbar is locked, should you still be able to move icons around, would expect not to - I can't remember how this behaved in Windows 10. I also seem to be able move them around much easier than expected. I say this because with Windows 10 I don't recall ever moving a icon around in the taskbar by accident and this morning I've done it about a dozen times.
I would expect to be able to, yes,

Is there a roadmap posted anywhere of what kinds of features you plan to be adding? There are a couple features I'd LOVE to see brought back to the 11 Taskbar... 1. the address bar that could be turned on/off: 2. the popup/dropdown folder-contents menu/toolbars: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/0/6/604

I've just installed Start11 on my Win10 machine (after using it to restore a 10-style menu on a Win11 machine). Looks and works great on the Win11 machine. There are a couple issues on the Win10 machine though. First... how can I get the tile backgrounds back? With both my native start menu, and the Start11 one on my Win11 machine, the tiles all have backgrounds.... <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/0/6/6040/12dfb294-cb3f-4602-899
