I have been unable to update Skin Studio Professional via SDC for several days now. I get the same error each time. I currently have v 4.10.016 installed and SDC shows 4.20.019 as the latest, but each time I try to update I get the same error about incorrect file size. How can I correct this? The message in the log file is as follows: Download: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\template\blank.bmp_ Error: Invalid chunk data (881 : 119). Redownloading c

I haven't been able to download Camstudio for a couple of days now. At first I thought it was because the site was down. Does anybody else get the "page cannot be found" error or is it due to something blocking it in various layers of security I have on my PC? I'd appreciate a post if anybody else can either download Camstudio or gets the same error. I'll know then if it is my problem or not. Many thanks.

Yes, I have latest general release version of WindowBlinds: version 4.20.019 according to SDC. The command window just refuses to change its skin. What really puzzles me is that I removed the skin using WindowBlinds, and still the command window is skinned using it. There must be some special treatment of the command window. [Message Edited]

Sorry to hear you have the same issue f0r3. Normally these forums have answers to most problems, so I guess the lack of input suggests it is a bug in WindowBlinds in some way. I have emailed stardock support, hopefully they will reply after the weekend.

I checked out the per application setting, removed all other apps and still the command window is always skinned with Pixoffice. I can not remove this: 1) I have tried several different WindowBlind skins and the command window remains skinned in PixOffice. 2) I have tried disabling and enabling skin command window within Windowblinds to no effect. Even if skin command window is turned off in WindowBlinds it is still skinned using PixOffice. 3) I then removed the PixO

I seem to have got my WindowBlinds into a mess in that the command window is always skinned with the same skin (pixoffice) no matter what skin I use within WindowBlinds. If I unload WindowBlinds all windows including the command window are back to standard Windows classic look. If I then start WindowBlinds and pick any skin the command window comes up always skinned in pixoffice. This is true even if I uncheck skin console window within WindowBlinds. I can either have

Which version of Windows are you running? Just that the XP version of TweakUI allows you to change the throbber. It includes one more to use or it allows you to specify a custom one. You can get TweakUI over at the Microsoft downloads web site.

It would be nice if Bootskin and LogonStudio were linked into Stardock Central. That way I would be able to keep everything upto date from a single place. As for paying for a version of Bootskin with higher color support, I would be OK with that (with in reason!). It would be a bit like CursorXP, a free version with limited features and a purchase option to add the extras.

It is not possible to change the color of the start button if you are using the Microsoft XP user interface. If you want to change the start button you will need to use a skinning program such as WindowBlinds. There are loads of skins to choose from at WinCustomize so you are sure to find a silver one you like.

Thanks Hus, Just downgraded my Nvidia driver to 52.16 and Nview works fine alongside WindowBlinds. No idea what the issue is with 53.03 is, but at least I have got my virtual desktops back. I have DesktopX, but so far I have only used WindowsBlinds. I'll try out DesktopX when I've had time to readup on what it can do.

I have an Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4200 graphics card and I am using Driver version 53.03 (the latest general release). A long time ago I used to Nvidia's Nview for managing virtual desktops. I have just tried it again and Nview no longer works on my PC. Does anybody know if Nvidia's Nview works with Window Blinds 4? It is a long time since I used Nview so it could have stopped working ages ago. I only recently installed WindowBlinds so my first thoughts were that they are not compatible. I t

Thanks Koasati, I've enabled auto archive applications now. Ideally I should have done this before installing the latest beta version of WindowBlinds. But its not caused me any problems. I think the system tray issue must have been due to a Microsoft setting, maybe a WindowBlind skin changed this, not sure but I found this tool that I intend to purchase in case of future system tray issues: Taskbar repair tool for XP: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm <b

Good news, I've sorted out the various issues: 1) Servers & SDC are working OK now so I have registered and reinstalled my copy of CursorXP. It loaded into a different directory, but I was able to simply copy my cursor themes across. 2) The system tray is now working since I loaded the latest beta version of Windows Blinds. Even Corona XP blind is working with the system tray. 3) After installing the beta Window Blinds several skins disappeared from Window Blinds even

Thanks Guys, this is just not my day. I now have two problems. 1) registering previous CursorXP purchase, I still have my original serial number for Cursor XP that begins CX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXX If I cut & paste this into SDC under misc tab and click register I get a connection error 1001 "stardock central has been unable to contact its server......." I turned off Norton Personal firewall and retired and got the same error.. 2) I have updated vi
