Thanks ! Guess I'll just have to go back to the release version & wait for the next fix. Was hoping to try making some Vista Sidebar gadgets...

Bump - wanting to know if others are seeing this...
As per the titles... Object Navigator is not showing whether the scripts associated with various DX objects are running even though the 'Script Enabled' property is ticked (toggling doesn't rectify the problem either). The scripts appear to be genuinely running (the DX object functions OK) but in my case where there are quite a few scripts it's quite inconvenient not to be able to see which are running & which not. Previous release version was fine. Running XP Pro SP2,
Don't know if this is related, but I'm finding that the Icon Labels are not coming to the top (Z order) when the Tab Drawer has been activated (i.e slides out). They are there but appear behind any windows that are in front of them. This is only for tabbed docks, zoomer docks work fine! This occurs in the latest beta 1.90h, but it was there since the previous 1.90 release version also. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Posted via Stardock Ce
Ths program is free Paint.Net and has good transparncy handling. Nowhere near as many bells & whistles as PaintShop, but then it's easier to use! Windows Paint.exe (since XP) also saves PNG AFAIK, but the way transparency is edited etc is not so elegant I think. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Posted via S
Are you saying that MCP is no longer needed for systray functionality just under Vista, or should this have worked on my XP machine as well? FWIW, I'm running OD+ & XP without SDMCP and the tray is working fine...
Wwhat about the first question? Any suggestions? At the moment, the 'Show dock as drawer' option is designed like that - you can't change it. A polite request/suggestion to Jeff may get it included in a later update (no guarantees tho')...
The trouble with SysStats is we don't devlop the software. So... how long before we can embed DesktopX widgets in OD+ then (like RightClick!) ? <img src="http://images.stardock.
Well cut off me legs & call me shorty! How long has this been available ?!? It's awesome! BTW, seems to work perfectly with the latest Beta of DX ( 3.49b[b].008 ). Next question: When will it be incorporated into ObjectDock !?!!
If you only use OD 1.9 (and not ObjectBar or DesktopX for system tray) then MCP is not needed! I recommend uninstalling it in that case. I have OD 1.9 and no MCP loaded and it works fine. Another thread reported that after cleaning the registry it worked - maybe an option for you?
i then right click and go to "add" then click on "new "sysStats" Docklet" then an error pops up that says "ObjectDock has encountered a problem and needs to close" Did just use the default version of SysStats that comes with OD? If so I'd suggest updating SysStats to 2.5.11 here's one place to get it: . I recommended you shutdown OD prior to doing the update since you'll need to copy over som
The rest of the space is needed so that the tabs are readable. A couple of workarounds come to mind... Smaller tab fonts? Shorter Tab names? ISTR that if the dock was resized, the tab text gets the '...' appended if they don't fit, not pretty hence the suggestion for shorter tab names.
It's there already (version 1.9x) (Rightclick on Dock)->Dock Settings->General->Miscellaneous->Automatically activate mouseovered tab.... HTH
Remember, the functionality I (thought) I paid for was to tab enable the normal dock. If you just blindly accept that the tabbed dock holds no interest for me, that lack of feature makes it a pointless product to me. I think you're overstating it a bit. Not having the eye-candy doesn't make the tabbed dock any less functional . Of course, FWIW, I agree with those who said they prefer the tabbed dock without the eye-candy s
20 systray icons ??? I got 19, but then it's a Toshiba laptop - lots are Toshiba-only related. Just pedantic about knowing what's running.
These two are the main ones I've found - there'll be a lot of docklets in common. Also SysStats works with other docks/hosts besides ObjectDock so you need to choose wisely DockEx SysStats Homepage A very good SysStats forum page: <a href="http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/forumdisplay.php?s=&
when I follow the instructions it asked me if I want to replace the existing Docklets file do I want that to happen? Not sure what you mean by 'docklets file', but in general it's safe to replace all the old files when installing the new (2.5.11) version of SysStats. Yes, it's easier/better/smoother if ObjectDock is not running at the time. When you download a 3rd party docklet, it *should* be packaged/zipped with the same directory structure as
options in SDC are turned off - SDC = Stardock Central - it's a downlaod manager for Stardock's products. You can download it for free and once installed and you've registered your paid-for products through it, it will manage all the updates etc. I also use it to interact with these forums It's that app that has the options I referred to, not Ob
maybe someone could upload a "working dock" or settings? but im not sure either if that works.. It won't make any difference to the system tray - OD just displays what if finds according to the Windows one. If you open task manager, do you have a process called SDMCP.EXE running? If so it needs to be disabled. This is best done from Stardock Central by unchecking "Enable MCP Smart Startup" and "Enable MCP Notification Area Support" (reboot
How is your Dock Settings->Dock Contents dialog configured?
I hope your using version 1.9 If not then you should upgrade. If you just installed then I suggest a reboot and see if the icons show up. And then make sure that both the "Enable MCP..." options in SDC are turned off - unless you have other apps that need them eg ObjectBar, DesktopX (?)...
and is it still possible to have everything in one nice dock with nice jumping icon effects and without having ugly tabs? You'd have to use 2 docks, eg one with Shortcuts+Tasks & 1 with SysTray (or some other combination) and place them close together to appear as one. Might be tricky to get a nice alignment if you're using zooming effects etc. It's not necessary to have tabbed docks to display tasks or tray. FWIW I have OD 1.9+ and have 4 dock
However all the crazy effects found in a normal dock are not there. Which is good! . The subtle zoom is enough... but please if it is implemented make sure to make it possible to be disabled!
the Microsoft Defender icon only appears if I manually turn it off then on again in the MSD config. Talking to myself... It's just made a liar out of me - the Windows Defender icon appeared about 10min after the system booted today! <img src="http://images.sta
For v1.9 of OD +, I do not have SDMCP running, nor either of the MCP options checked in SDC. For the most part it is working fine with the following exceptions: Multiple copies of the netwrok adapter icon (this has been there forever & doesn't really worry me) and a new one: the Microsoft Defender icon only appears if I manually turn it off then on again in the MSD config. If I just exit OD+ it's there in the Windows tray. From what I remember reading (by Je
