I came across this heated discussion when I was looking for how to script or automate the setup for different configurations, such as dual monitor at home vs. dual monitor at work. Couldn't find that, but this discussion of exiting Deskscapes made me feel like I was missing something. I run Windows 10 and went into Settings -> Apps, clicked "Stardock Deskscapes" then on the drop-down menu "Uninstall". It asked me if I was sure, I clicked yes, and it uninstalled. Or it seemed to.
