forgot to say that i am using iconpackager 3.20a rc033 and icondeveloper 1.30.022 on vista x64 SP1-RTM

After much problems, I realized that most of my problems with not showing icons changed with iconpackager is that vista is extremely picky about icons. When you browse for icons, you can see the icon displayed correctly as thumbnail, but when you apply it, you will either see nothing, or smaller framed version of the icon. this is when there is no 256x256 version of the icon. (even if you want to display only 128x128!). IconDeveloper is particularly good in saving incorrect icons, some he saves

i just 3x installed some update for tweakvista, but i simply don't know why, because i cannot find any release notes for any version. where should i look?

i can't change icons for .msc files on desktop. however, icons to shortcuts to .msc are changed OK. took me a while to realize this :)

the same problems keeps me from using the iconx, i change resolutions often and it took me long time before i found a solution which works for me... its called iconoid and of course doesn't work with iconx...
