I've ended up daily driving ExplorerBlurMica, works well but has acrylic blur with very bright passthrough of the background... DwmBlurGlass is a dream come true but it doesn't play well with WindowBlinds (glitches out). DwmBlurGlass itself is still quite buggy, after a while starts getting fully transparent windows (right click or explorer), memory leaks and random dwm.exe crashes and restarts. Enable/disable it every now and then - it works. When it works, it looks beautiful, Windows 7 Ulti

Woah lot of heat here, it's been a while... As @basj said - I can understand it's hard to maintain WB11 because of so many changes and such long term development (I'm a software dev myself now!) Microsoft has turned strangely evil towards all customization in the last few years, they've been actively blocking customization apps like ExplorerPatcher, StartAllBack, etc, even going as far to flag them as malware... One of the devs from ExplorerPatcher also mentioned MS has been a
I've been using this theme with WindowBlinds8 since 2013 (Ion by neone6) in Windows 7 and I absolutely loved the blur behind explorer and context menus everywhere in the OS. Screenshot (Windows 7 Ultimate, WindowBlinds8, Explorer): (had to blur out a lot of personal info since this screenshot is from a random screen recording from a year ago)
After waiting for months, I finally decided to just go with installing the latest Windows 10. I think I can work around one little problem. First of all, hide task view button from taskbar so I don't just go click it and freeze explorer. Saw someone suggested using the start+tab shortcut for the task view menu thing, tried that but that freezes as well. Simple solution if it's frozen is to restart explorer: "Start+R" > "taskkill /f /im explorer.exe" and then "Start+R > explorer.
Win10 v1709 stopped letting me sign in at all randomly and completely glitched when I tried to restore a backup of my registry so... I'm thinking of doing a clean, updated reinstall from scratch... Win10 v1803 because v1709 had that daunting "Window appears, disappears" issue with WB10 and I never figured out what it exactly was, I just learnt to live with it and use WBLoad.exe in case I wanted to refresh the theme. Since 2013, I've had WB and the same theme on literally every
I can just keep doubleclicking on tray icon like crazy and the window does appear sooner or later, so it's not like I'm totally unable to use WB10 and that's good. All clean boot says is - disable all startup items and unnecessary services, create new administrator user account and use it (for Windows 10) StartWB.bat stops explorer and windowblinds service, restarts them both with admin permissions. I've tried a new user account already and it was the same case there.
It appears on all themes. It appears even if no theme is loaded (when windowblinds is unloaded)
I just recorded a quick desktop video of what exactly am I seeing. Link: https://youtu.be/d_wbHuQZszU (I didn't waste time blurring my bookmarks and stuff. Hoping it's safe to let people see it here.)
Skins work PERFECTLY. Everything else is perfect. Even without using the config app, I can just start wbload.exe and it loads up whichever last skin I had configured, even after unloading windowblinds. Everything is well and good, except that the config app has this weird opening issue. EDIT: For instance - it's been about over a day my PC is continuously running. I close the "WB10Config.exe" window. I keep doubleclicking on tray until out of like 15-20 random appearing and disappeari
This is getting way too weird. I start the wb10config app as soon as I sign into my user because otherwise the issue keeps repeating. Just a minute ago I was planning to restart, I tried closing the window and re-opening it from the tray icon. And it worked. The window opened up properly. So I closed it again and when I opened it again the same way, the issue came upfront. Same, instantly closing config window over and over. Sometimes instantly, sometimes I coul
Nope, didn't work at all. Though the purge batch file did give 2 errors, saying that the module "wbsrv.exe" and "wbcore.exe" were loaded but not registered. I also purged start10. I just finished reinstalling WB10 and the exact same issue is still here - if I start the config app within a few seconds of logging in after a boot, it opens, otherwise a window appears, disappears instantly.
The config app starts properly only if I start it in the first 10 seconds of starting my PC. After that, if I try and launch it, a window appears and disappears instantly, not letting me config anything. I went in the wb10 folder, tried WB10config.exe, wb8config.exe and sevenconfig.exe, none of them worked. This has been the case ever since a fresh windows install. Hello, I've been using WindowBlinds8 since 2014, on a Windows 7 Ultimate desktop. Win7 is still my primary OS as I have some issues with Win10. Ofcourse, WB8 doesnt work with Win10, so I considered purchasing windowblinds10. It does mention that if I already own windowblinds8, I can get a discount. In the cart, it says "WindowBlinds10 Upgrade". I want both, WB8 and WB10 licenses and for them to work as I have and work with both Win7 and Win10 everyday. Does "WindowBlinds10 Upg
I spent 19 hours trying to fix this (yeah im crazy) and I finally gave up. The only solution I found so far is to simply install Service Pack 1 (without windows update) from Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842 Downloading (for 64 bit) <span style="background-color: #eeeeee; color: #333333; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, 'Segoe UI', Segoe, 'Segoe WP', Tah

Update: Just tried WindowBlinds10 on trial and when i tried to apply a theme, this happened: http://i.imgur.com/9pKjeRq.png I have absolutely no idea why am I getting this annoying problem...
