Ah... "one or more icons that were present prior are causing an issue. Almost always, it is an icon that links to a network location that is not available at boot time." Network location... this must be it. As it also did start occurring after I added a desktop link to a device that I don't have on all the time. Deleted that shortcut and will test. If this fixes it... will there be a different fix/workaround for this (or patch to address this from your side)?

I believe that will only resort the folders, but as it sees this as a new icon, it would ditch it back to my desktop (and/or default fence). Was hoping there would be an ini or xml to edit.

Hello, Is there a local file for icons\fences that are organized by number of times opened. I had to delete/rebuild an icon, and would like to restore it's rightful position in order by adjusting approximate times it's been opened (compared to other icons in the same fence). Thanks!
