While the workaround was suggested for the other issue, restarting explorer.exe (via a script) fixes the problem. Not sure if this sheds any light on what the problem could be. The script is dead simple and uses pskill: c: cd\ cd windows cd system32 pskill.exe explorer.exe

The issue seems to only occur on the primary monitor. I have not seen the issue on the secondary monitor. To be honest, I activate the Start11 menu on the primary/left monitor 99% of the time. I rarely activate the Start11 menu on the secondary/right side monitor.

I realize this is an old post. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish - why not just press "F10" on both apps (to make them entered Windowed mode) then drag them into the appropriate position? This is how you probably did things prior to Windows 8/

I am seeing the exact same thing, but only since upgrading to Windows 8.1 RTM (Pro) 64-bit. I found myself compensating by simply pulling down from the top middle under the word "Music" when that app is in a Windowed state -- the windowed music app then moves (Window only), as a traditional desktop app should.

I am having similar issues and am working with support@stardock.com. Prior to contacting Stardock support, I uninstalled / rebooted / re-installed ModernMix - the lock-ups no longer happen but I still get multiple mail app buttons on the Windows taskbar. I am using Windows 8.1 Professional with Media Center, 64-bit.
