Already tried that, Basj. It's happening with all the animated backgrounds. I did start a new playlist and put just 2 animated backgrounds in the list. I have 2 monitors, and it usually puts the same background on both, again just like the original image I posted. I tried what pelaird suggested, and did a msconfig removing all non Microsoft services, but that didn't help either, same results. Thanks again, Butch

Hi Jan, Thanks for clearing that up for me. I tried all three options, and nothing worked. Still puzzled how just adding a playlist started this in the first place. I've added several playlists in the past for different holidays without a problem. I have DeskScape on 3 other computers all optioned the same and this one, my newest build, is the only one with this problem. Worked great for several months then this? If you can think of anything else pl
Jan, I don't want to seem stupid, but I guess I am. What do you mean by all three codecs?
Hi Neil, No, but I did check to see if my Nvidia driver is up to date and it is. I did try and disable the Intel Integrated Graphics, since I have an RTX-4060 Ti graphics card, but that didn't do anything.
Hi Basj, Yes I checked the options you asked me to check, and they were already set as you suggested. I did do a little more testing, and I found out that all the NON-Animated backgrounds run perfectly, only the animated items are messing up. I didn't add or do any changes to anything in Windows 11 or download any other apps. The problem started when I created an new Playlist. My old playlist was working until I decided to fix the problem by running the purge b
Thanks Guys, really appreciate the quick response. I'm running Windows 11 Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2605), and Version 11.02 of Deskscape. The settings that Basj told me to check were already set that way. What's my next step? Best regards guys, Butch
Running Windows 11 Latest version as of 01/13/2025 with 2 Monitors. Everything was working well until I created a new playlist in DeskScape 11 and now both monitors show only the top third of the animation on both monitors, also the animation is split in half with the right portion on the left and the left portion on the right and with that image staggered in slices. I've run the purge program and reinstalled Deskscape to no avail. Does anyone have a solution as to what went
Thanks for quick response!! I will keep an eye on this thread.
Having a problem with DesckScape Version 11 Beta 5. I'm using Windows 11 with latest Version 21H2, and I have an Asus RTX-3060 Graphic card. The problem I'm having isn't critical or anything like that, but when I start my PC the DeskScape Backgrounds work great, but when I open any app, and close it when done, the top Approx. 1/4 inch of that app becomes the top of the Deskscape Background. It doesn't push the background down, it just becomes the top 1/4 inch of the backgr
Hi basj & Neil, Got it working!! Neil your solution was the answer. My fault, this was the first PC I set up with multiple users, I'm fixing it up for my Brother, his Wife and their grand kids. I have separate users for each, 2 with Admin permissions and the kids with standard permissions. I created the string in my brothers wife account and when I rebooted the PC it automatically defaults to my brothers account and it didn't work, I checked the registry an
Yes, that was the first thing I did after editing the registry.
Hi Neil, Couldn't wait a couple of day so I unpacked the PC, Monitor & Keyboard and edited the registry as you suggested. Sorry to say it didn't work, All Programs opens as soon as you hover the pointer over it. It also will close it if you move the pointer and return to All Programs again. It only started after upgrading to Start11, and only on my Windows 10 PC, two Windows 11 PCs work fine. Got anything else for me to try, before I shut thing down again,
Thanks for the suggestion Neil, I'll try it and get back to you on the results. It would be nice to have that option put back in Start Configuration under All Programs, giving you the option to expand all programs on pointer hover or not, but I still am a big fan of Start11. I have, at least, Fences, Start11 and Deskscape on all my PCs, and gifted them to two of my sisters and a nephew, who are also big fans. It might take a day or two to get back to you with the results.&
Sorry Basj, I've been comparing both my PCs, one running Windows 10 Pro and my new build running Windows 11 Pro and gave you the wrong information. Both systems, Win10 and Win11, have the same Version numbers, and the same Start11 Versions. The problem does NOT occur on my Windows 11 PC, only on Windows 10 System. I've been comparing the settings on both, that's why the mistake, and all settings in Start11 are the same. The problem is only occurring on my
Hi Basj, Here's the information you requested. I'm running Windows 11 Pro, Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.675). I'm running Start11 Version 1.22 and I'm using Modern Style. If you need any other information please let me know. Thank you! Regards, Butch
Can someone tell me if it's possible to disable the open submenu on mouse pointer hover on the start menu on Start 11. I can't seem to find that option anywhere. Before I upgraded there was a bullet option to enable or disable this option under configuration. Now on Start11 every time I hover the pointer over All Programs it automatically opens the list. I'm not really a fan of that option and would like to disable it, but I've tried navigating through all the drop-dow
