This is a good idea, and to expand upon it, i think it might be best if the portals defaulted back to there original folder, after a period of inactivity (3-5 mins?)

Modern Mix taskbar buttons don't seem to respect the option to move the taskbar button to the screen the app is open on. V1.09

Start8 fulfills this functionality, so its unlikely they will put it in modern mix because that would just stop you from buying both :P

personally i agree, adding a button for fullscreen would be a good idea, or maybe allowing the maximize button to function as the fullscreen button, when shift is held down :P or ofcourse f11 since some programs already use that as a standard fullscreen button :P

it wouldn't break other apps, if the 'fix' only ran when the user told it to.., although this app may be using a 'non-standard' way of detecting if its not in full screen. it doesn't sound like an extremely out of the box way of doing it.. and several programs are likely to share this same method... and actually it doesn't work in 2/3 mode either i tested that :P, for this particular app its not a big deal, as i like to play games fullscreen anyways :P, and

so you think all other apps should be aware of modern mix, and be coded to work with it, rather than the other way around?, if the game only works when it thinks its in fullscreen, then tell modern mix should find a way to tell it its in full screen...

Tried playing Samourai vs Zombies in window mode, and the only thing that will show on screen is "Game Paused", even if it is the active window

My charms bar only displays on the screen i last opened metro on; shouldn't it be displayed on whatever screen the last active metro app was on?, or inside the apps window would be nice to. (same goes for fullscreen mode)

i assume in most cases that height is 768 pixels. since thats the lowest resolution its supposed to support. Also why does 1 option set minimum height, and the other set width AND height. shouldn't the other only set width, to eliminate redundancy, and allow for more options? also its a little less confusing that way :P, Is there a hotkey you can hold to make the scroll wheel scroll horizontal<span style="font-size: xx-small;"

thats good to hear, so any app purchased individually has a lifetime of updates... but you mentioned this earlier: 4. If you purchase a single product, it does not expire and you get any updates that come out for it. UPDATE: For whatever reason skip metro suite no longer works with the newest version (non-beta)... Disabling hot corners would be a good feature for ModernMix even if its already a feature in Start8.. (plus you guys have already coded it, it wouldn't be to hard to port over) so this is now a feature request for me :P

It would be awesome if we could have a metro 1/3 screen app on our desktop, that auto-hides like the windows taskbar can... The only problem i see would be the fact that it resizes the desktop, so you may have to make it less sensitive (either make a hotkey toggle hide state, and/or make a mouse gesture, i would recommend moving mouse to bottom right corner, and dragging it upward along the edge, this conflicts with the search bar, but the searchbar also works with the top corner.. so

I have a multi monitor settup, and when i drag a modern mix window from one monitor to another, the icon stays on the monitor the app was launched on..., i have windows set to move icons to the taskbar for the window they are active on.

i have classic shell and display fusion installed, both do things involving the metro UI..., other than those 2 nothing comes to mind that i think would do it.. im starting them from classic shell (it has an item called 'apps' that lets you run modern apps from the desktop), which is my best guess asto why its poping up @splashscreen launch animation; thats possible yes, not quite sure what that is :P and my computer is an i5quad @ 3.2ghz, with 1

(although ive donated my fair share to the project)... i just have a moral stance against shareware/trialware/ and closed source... although, you guys gotta make a living...., and i will use payware when there is no other alternative that fulfills my needs also as a semi-solution (and maybe a solution to the original posters problem) Skip Metr

also if i upgrade from a single piece of software, to the suite, does the original purchased 1 piece of software receive lifetime updates? or does upgrading to the bundle revoke the lifetime of updates for that software?

Some apps behave/look differently based on what mode there in (full screen, 1/3 screen, or 2/3 screen) Are there any plans to include a way to toggle between these modes in a windowed app?, or maybe automatically based on the aspect ratio of the window? or is there a way already i just havnt found?

I get the opposite; when theres a modern app open the charm-bar/hot-corners show, and when its closed they dont.. im dissabling charmbar via classic shell, not start8 (sorry its just not what im looking for :P)

Never return to the windows 8 menu when i close applications option doesnt seem to work for me with in fullscreen mode, and in window mode the metro screen flashes on for a second then exits (also the app starts in fullscreen for about a second before it gets windowed, although i asume thats a different issue...)

ok thats just about all i needed to know thanks. you guys have one odd business model. And btw you realize that if you buy modern mix for 5$, then upgrade for 35$ (totaling 40$), its 10$ cheaper than buying the subscription flat out..
