Just got notified by the program of a new update and this issue is still occurring after installing it. :(

Are you using multiple displays? If so, I was about to post about this same issue. It will only disable the drag to close / multitasking "hand" on one of your displays since windows 8.1; seemingly at random although I am assuming it just disables it on the first display that initializes. It worked fine in for me in 8.0 with 3 displays.

Really weird, it's not working at all for me. I ended up having to do a clean install of 8 then 8.1 again because my sound card was going insane and I still can't get the translucency to work. Could it possibly be a video driver issue? I am using an nvidia card on the 327.23 drivers

I used it in 8.0 to match the taskbar to the start menu and it worked perfectly, but after the upgrade to 8.1 it appears to be broken. I even tried reinstalling start8 with no results. Is it working for anyone else in 8.1?
