i've just tried the v1.19. I see that winver.exe is working now. For chrome apps, I see the icon still does not show when the app is first opened, but then after a few seconds it loads. Hopefully something you'll be able to fix. Feels buggy for chrome apps at this stage.

It isn't consistently a problem. Comes up every now and again. The way I open up the start menu usually is a quick fling of my cursor to the very bottom left corner of the screen and then click. Sometimes this results in the multi window opening if for some reason the multi window button was highlighted before I clicked. I can't reproduce it now too but I'll try and see what the circumstances are when it happens again
Turns out it is not just chrome app icons that don't show up. I have opened up winver.exe and it also showed a blank icon. Pinning it brings the icon up after a few seconds, but of course, that is a pain to have to do for all apps that have this problem.
Windows 11 22000.556 Start11 beta 1.18
Yes, i have restarted. It should be noted that I'm reporting this for the 1.18 beta of start11 on the most up to date Windows 11 build 22000.556. Interestingly, if I have the chrome app pinned to the taskbar and I open it, the icon is starts with no icon and then shows up after a few seconds. But if I don't have it pinned to taskbar, the chrome app icon never shows up.
Often the bottom right corner "multidesk" icon highlights itself and then instead of the start menu activating when I click the start button, the multi desk activates instead. You can see the multidesk button highlighted for no reason in this picture in the bottom right corner of this picture ..

I would like to be able to give the icons my own custom labels. Could you include the ability to rename an icon label?
I like to keep separate pages for "Windows Apps" and "Web Apps" and each page I keep in one view without scrolling through apps. Can the developer please allow the ability to jump between pages with the mouse scrollwheel when overscrolling beyond the bottom or beyond the top of a page. Essentially, I would love to be able to use my scroll wheel on my mouse to quickly switch between my start menu pages.
Thanks. I should have provided more detail. It is fine on the taskbar in the stable build of start11, but not fine in the start menu in the stable build of start 11. Running latest Windows 11 build. Also, as a side note, the Netflix icon looks a little wonky in this stable build On the beta start11 app, the facebook messenger icon is too s
Facebook messenger app from Microsoft Store looks smaller than it should be in the start11 start menu and on the start11 taskbar.
