I had the same issue. Reboot your PC, and run the installer again. Some reason the service file was removed (I noticed this through the utility autoruns - sysinternals) Just ran a install again, problem solved.
Thanks man. It turns out, I had to reboot, and run a reinstall. After that, the program started working just fine! This makes it so easy to keep track of what I'm doing with the window fading. Something so small as that, increases productivity. Thumbs Up Stardock!
Can anyone assist me in locating the installer for WindowFX Beta for Win8? I just purchased the software, and I'm only able to download the latest release that is for Win7, not 8. Thank you!
