Thanks to all of you for your input and support. After creating a new user, as suggested in the first response, I was able to install the update. It is obvious that I will need to do a clean install of Windows to avoid this problem in the future. Thanks again, Bob
Hey all, since a few days windows won't let me install updates of Start 10. I get the following message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." But, I am the administrator and as far as I am aware, nothing has changed about this computer for over more than a month. Hello, Two days ago I installed Start10 on Windows 10 (latest release) running on my Macbook Pro mid 2015. After installation, I entered my license key and my e-mail address, but got error code -212. To get around the problem in the mean time, I tried the 30-day trial period, but this resulted in the same error message. I had been using a previous version of Start10, but because there was a problem with the option "Pin to.." for example Excel- and Word-file
