I fully agree with rkobriger post. I liked very much Windows 7 ability to learn which applications I use more often and provide them on the start menu for quick access. Start8 seems unable to learn which applications I use more frequently and provide them for convenient access on the Start8 menu. The list that appears when pressing

I do the following: I search a file with extension, e.g. I type test.pdf, in the Start8 menu. I obtain meaningless results. In particular the search does not return the existing file "test.pdf" on my search path. If I type "test.pdf" *with* quotes in the Start8 menu I obtain proper results. In particular in this case the search results are the same I obtain when typing [Win]+F and typing test.pdf *without* quotes in Metro. Bottom line: Start8 requires unnecessary quo

I had the same problem of [Win]+[Shift] opening the Start8 menu after installing v1.5, but the problem disappeared after a restart. [Win]+[Shift] has been opening the Windows 8 menu ever since.

I do the following: (i) I search for a file name, (ii) right click on a file in the start8 menu and (iii) I select the option "Open With". As a result I obtain a second useless "Open With" menu, and I need to click on that to be able to select the program to open the file. This bug has been present in every version I installed at least until the current 1.15. It's just a small annoyance on an overall fantastic start menu replacement...
