Alas, C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu only has a few shortcuts and those were added after the disaster. That folder doesn't exist in my Carbonite backup, and my other backup program filed to restore. Argggh, I was hoping Start8 would have them squirreled away somewhere secret.

Just got hit with some malware. It's gone, but almost all my Start menu shortcuts are gone too. Most of the Windows shortcuts from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs are there, but the rest are gone. I have Carbonite, but I can't find any user shortcuts to restore from C:\Jon\Appdata. Where should I look to find those shortcuts?
Running Start8 v1.12. I right-click on the desktop and pick View. Auto Arrange is un-checked. I click on it and my icons arrange automatically... until I reboot. Then Auto Arrange is off. What's need to make this setting sticky?
I'm trying out a backup program named SlimImage. It insists on running fullscreen, and looks like a Modern app. It has minimize, settings, and close buttons in its upper right corner. But there seems to be no way that it will run non-fullscreen even with ModernMix. Is this something that ModernMix is missing or is it just one of those things?
