Yes, I uninstalled Start11 and it immediately released the task bar to the left side of the screen. I tried to reinstall and taskbar stayed on the left of the monitor until I rebooted. Uninstalled and it immediately went back to the left before rebooting. Currently have "Shell" installed just for a decent menu. When I get time I will go back and play with it some more and see if I can disable taskbar control or write an override for windows disallowing anything to cont

I have Windows 11 with the latest insider release in full. In this version, it must be added specifically to the registry if you want an alternate other than bottom placement of the task bar as the block has been removed disallowing. It is on the left on three different monitors, but on my primary monitor Start 11 overrides the windows settings for task bar even if I do not want them to. I own Start 8, 10, and 11. How far back is required to recover co
Is it possible to make Start11 relinquish control of the task bar altogether without also removing Start11? If so, how? Windows will allow my moving my task bar to the left side which it does on all other monitors, but on primary Start11 is overriding. I would post an overlapping screenshot to show windows task bar settings and the task bar to the left on the next screen, but I dont see a means other than secondary hosting which I do not maintain availa
Thank you. That did the trick. Display Fusion also does the taskbar on each display. That was in my plan when my new monitors arrive, but I had forgotten the taskbar option. It gave me the fancy aeroview taskbar, but that is ok. Tech Support, I had the work around option available, but my Start11 still doesnt put the taskbar on multiple monitors and the short period I got that working it was only a blank taskbar with a start and no clock or anything else.&nb
Found the registry hack for the taskbar I had made to keep track of what change was made and deleted it from registry. I do have a task bar on all monitors now, but the three secondaries it is a ghost taskbar when using some interface windows where it is shown as a task bar and the full screen come to the bottom where it is across the top of the screen and is covered with window sizing as if there is no taskbar present. All possible taskbar settings are set even to the point
Thank you and Happy easter to you all! Enjoy your much needed holiday time!
Pardon me, I know this has to be listed somewhere, but I cannot seem to focus. Will someone please direct me to solutions as to why a task bar will not mirror on extended monitor display? It has never worked, but to explain where I am at, circumstances require I have more independent viewing space to be able to go screen to screen without having to search tabs and swap what is in front. All except video, I have a very high end computer. Right this moment I am usin
Windows 11 Pro up to date. Latest Beta for Start 11. Enable a second monitor and my task bar stops working if more than one window is open in the shortcut. Example, Chrome is open and I have two separate pages open without being in the same window. If I minimize them or one, I cannot get it back by clicking the icon on the task bar, but ALT/TAB works to pull the window back. It is the same with all open items. As long as it is only a single thing open
UPDATE: When pinning a program to the start menu, it is not pinning as in the original screenshot, but I found where it is pinning. Using the original style start menu like from XP/windows 7 it is pinning the programs to the top of the All Programs list rather than to start.
To pin, I right click the executable and select pin. It only pins if it is an installed program or app. Portable does not pin. Not that big of a deal as I have most pinned to taskbar adding them and then removing them to add something else, but I was hoping to have more space made available.
I cannot figure out how to allow showing recently used applications. Also, some programs apps will pin to start and some will not. Example, I tested with Paint, Microsoft Word, and a few installed games which it will pin above the Windows Menu. However, I have a folder with the classic XP windows games as standalone and wanted to pin spider solitaire and that will not pin? Guessing that is the difference in being an installed program/app and portable as it is the sam
