Thank you so much for your attempts to help. (I wish Stardock would do the same!!) However, I can't find any files. If they don't fix this bug soon I will sadly have to quit using Fences.
I have been a Fences user since the beginning. After upgrading to V4 it conflicts with Outlook and all of Office 365. It will periodically start an endless loop warning me that it had to disable itself due to a conflict. The only way out of the loop is to reboot the computer. V4 has a whole host of other problems as well, but this is endless loop is making it unusable. I had subscribed to Object Desktop which apparently includes version 3. I let Object expire because I didn't find any feature
After numerous attempts to correct the many problems with this new release, all to no avail, I just want a refund. This software was obviously not well tested before release. I paid for this and I don't like being an alpha tester. Yes, I said "alpha" tester. This release isn't even ready for beta testing. I could live with some of the annoyances but when this thing closes the fences and goes into a continuous loop of error messages that can't be stopped without rebooting the computer that eat
Problem still there.
I did all of that. No change. Problem remains.

Fences have different (Lighter) background translucence opacity on the right 1/3 than on the left 2/3. (See screenshot #1). One fence has a different background translucence opacity than all the others, but it is even - has no variation.\(See screenshot #2). Settings for all Fences are the same, so there should be no variation caused by different settings for a particular fence. (See screenshot #3). <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/50/10/5010722/e878494b-79b8-4
After the 7/22/21 update Fences is disabled with the message, "Explorer was not properly shut down. Right click and click "Enable Fences." When that is done it just repeats the message. Tried re-booting to no avail. Stardock: Please don't push out updates that have not been thoroughly vetted! I don't enjoy wasting time on improperly coded software and I don't think any of your other customers do either.
Fences and Icons disappear after latest Win 10 Update. It doesn't do it every time, but it does it frequently. The only way I have found to get them back is to reboot.
When I rebooted the computer the problem was solved. Until reboot none of the vs 3 features worked. Suggest Stardock include a required reboot when installing.
I have installed Fences 3. Already have Fences 2 active on my machine. Nothing seems to have changed. For instance, if I double-click a title bar all Fences disappear, just like in version 2. But, if I right click on the title bar and click "about" it shows the help for version 3, so 3 seems to be installed.
