I will try to provide a translation for Arabic language, although the Arabic language is not directly supported by Start11. Is it welcomed or not? Is there any chance in future to be directly supported by Start11. Regards

I noticed the user account picture is not displayed correctly while using start10 .. I am developing small application to retrieve user account picture and faced the same problem my work around was to copy the user account picture from the system to my application folder during form activate and deactivate and name it with the: "username.bmp" and then load the copied picture from my application folder to the picturebox in my application and
but was wondering if it would work with any start menu organization programs
Start menu organizer from winstep allows you to organize your start menu folders the way you like , and Start8 shows you that start menu folders the way it was organized. So no problem using Start8 with Start menu organizer.
Hi, Start8 development team. I am using Start8 with window-blinds 8 I am requesting these features to be implemented while using window-blinds theme: 1- Allow the user to show or hide user picture through start8 configuration. 2- Allow the user to change the start button. Thank you
Were you installing via SDC?
If SDC stands for Stardock central the answer is No. However after closing the error message start8 installed and messaged me to restart the computer, after restarting the PC every thing seem to be working OK.
Hi, I experienced this error at the end of the installation (screen shot attached)
This is very strange. If this happening to me I will unlock the taskbar and try to move google chrome icon to the right and lock it back then I will Try to restart my pc. If not corrected I will Try to uninstall start8 and install it again. Cheers
hi just wondering where can i find such a setting ? start8 has since default to not show hidden folder, but i would like change that. thanks!
In Start8 folder in program files you will find an excutable file called: Start8 Advanced Tweak or Start8 Tweak not sure because I am not using windows8 right now .. When you open this tweaker you will find the setting.
1- I don't have that file 2- Start8 installed in this path: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Start8
You can use an application called 7+ Taskbar Tweaker . The tweaker is designed for Windows 7 and Windows 8.
You can find your registeration in this path : C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Registrations You can back it to restore it subsequently
on my account product the latest build is 1.11. why is that?
Because this Version s beta build not a final build .
I posted this just after 1.11 is released and waited for the new version and those issues are still there in v 1.12 Hoping to hear something from someone .
Good point alexwalden I agree with you
Hi, I experienced this issue . This issue has nothing to do with Start8 . To resolve this issue simply download "GameExplorerBuilder" google for it . Start the appliction it will show you all the games in your game explorer, you can delete any game and you can install new games proerly using this application. The issue of missing game icons can be resoloved by changing the windows themes to one of the high contrast theme, and then back to your normal theme. Good lu

First of all I would like to congratulate the Start8 project team for their hard work to bring back start menu to windows8. Most feature requests by other users have been done . And all feature requests I raised have been done. This is a bug report concerning the horizontal scroll. I know it is minor but if it can be fixed why not fix it . The start8 tweak is great I love it . I suggest to put a link to Start8 tweak in the start menu Startdock folder. H
If you want to narrow your search why not just write the name you search for with the extension in case of utorrent why not just write : utorrent.exe in the search box .... In this case it will show only utorrent.exe. Cheers
By doing that I'm sure lots of useless program files like .dll and .ini files, et al, would then appear in your start menu search results
Nope. See search result here :
The name of the µtorrent in program file is ( utorrent ) The utorrent shortcut name in the start menu is (µtorrent). "Please note the difference" You can go to control panel Indexing Options chose modify and add the Program Files folder and press OK It will take some time to build the index After that you can type utorrent in the start menu search box . Use up and down arrow keys and the utorrent will be shown in the search result.
