Checking in on this to see if any work has been done. Would love to be able to customize the broadcast key and the number of times it needs to be used to broadcast. When doing a lot of broadcasts in rapid succession, I am hammering the CTRL key too often, which leads to it not always detecting the key press.

This definitely is Multiplicity, but it has nothing to do with the PCs being idle. I will be actively using them and have my main PC just stop accepting keyboard/mouse input and unable to do anything. I have a shortcut on my other PCs that I control with their own keyboards that basically makes a remote windows services call to the main PC to restart Multiplicity services, which restores the main computer's keyboard/mouse. Prereq: You must <a href="https://learn.microsoft.com/
I also tried another program and can confirm pressing Ctrl three times is being triggered when using a different hotkey, via looking at the osk.exe visual. It seems Multiplicity ignores those presses from either app... is there a way to get it working, or customize the broadcast key combo?
Any update on this one? I have tried using a program called Key Manager that allows me to set a hotkey that then triggers other keys (in this case, LShift + ` to trigger LCtrl + LCtrl + LCtrl). I validated with the on screen keyboard that Key Manager is sending Multiplicity's trigger keys, but it is not starting broadcast mode. Both programs are running as an Administrator.
Hello, Can we get the ability to customize the broadcast key to something else? Control is used in a lot of apps/games and it's easy to unintentionally hit even with it being three times. Seems like it would be something relatively easy to implement and a quick win for customers. Thanks!
Update seems to be working for me, thanks! I am experiencing a different issue with Everquest, though. Wasn't sure if I should make a new thread so I'll just try here first. Just got a new laptop with Windows 11 and I am running it as a secondary machine. Mouse scroll and left mouse look gets completely disabled in game (scrolling works fine outside the game - web browsing, etc). I did find a workaround by plugging a separat

Restart MP services to restore fluid mouse control. This has happened sporadically to me even before EQ and MP were updated.
I think it's unrealistic to expect them to patch the MP software when you are using something to modify the EQ game client.
It seems to be working here as well. Will know more as the day progresses. But spent an hour in a group with 5 boxes going and no issues.
Need to play EQ in windowed mode for it to work.
Hello, I would like a way to combine (merge in Excel lingo) cells on the grid. Example: https://i.imgur.com/ZZEvgQV.png That way, when moving the mouse from the primary PC (dual monitors) to one of the three below, it is easier to move the mouse diagonally or straight down to match the physical layout on the desk.
Occassionally, Multiplicity stops processing all keyboard and mouse input from my main computer that is controlling the others. The only way I can bring it back to life is to remote into the main computer from a secondary, right click the tray icon and select "restart multiplicity processes". I am looking to be able to run a remote command on the primary machine from a secondary that would do this via the cli. What command do I need to run to invoke the same behavior? Thanks!<
Thanks for working on this
X-Mouse does fix the issue, but I do not want to have to use another tool to get the job done.
This has already been reported in two other threads at the top of this forum. EverQuest, yes?
The issue here is with the change from 32 to 64 bit. Multiplicity has a workaround for some games to stop them doing this which dates from a time when pretty much every game was 32 bit. This workaround does not impact 64 bit processes and the new everquest is 64 bit. We are looking into the right solution and will update this thread once we have a plan in place.
Thank you. I am having the same issue with EverQuest, as well as a friend. What is the ETA on a fix?

Thanks! I can sort of do this manually by opening a connection to all 6 sessions, but I am not able to arrange them in a grid view on the screen. They do not shrink down enough to fit and only go so far, overlapping each other.
Excuse the quick, rudimentary drawing. I'm looking to be able to specify a tile/grid to display on a screen for an operator to see many windows at once, and be able to click into one to control and type, without moving away from the grid view. Everything in the grid needs to be visible on the screen at all times. Yes. I am wanting to click around and interact with the windows in tile mode. The sidebar just lets you activate a specific window.
I can't seem to find any documentation on the "KVM mode display scaling" setting for a computer. What does it affect / do? I've tried changing it to 25% and it's not letting me reduce the window size. I'd like to be able to tile a bunch of KVM windows so I can see and operate them on a single screen (albeit tiny). It is not letting me reduce the size by clicking and dragging. I need the windows to be smaller. Thanks!
Is it possible to have a hotkey that will swap keyboard/mouse control to another PC, send a predefined series of keystrokes (macros), and then swap input back to the originating PC? I have it changing to the computer using a hotkey, but would like to take that a step further?
