So...just do keep this GLARING issues active, there's no fix or investigation into the Universal App flyout being a SOLID GLARING WHITE? Will someone answer that this is supposed to respect the theme settings for Windows and use the dark or light theme as selected? Or do I continue with the ridiculous 'just throw up your hands' and blame MS and 'it's just too complicated' Well? How about an answer? (not from you Basj, you're as worthless as teets on a
Yes, looks like Win ver is a legitimate question. I'd been noticing oddities in some of my recent 10 installs ....and put it down to the simple pain associated with the current ms ineptitude....could even be as absurd as a home and a pro downloaded and installed on the same day being entirely different build numbers....[e digicons];)[/e]
18363.720. Okay so yours is black. Mine is white, the same is same as the other poster. Are you using a theme WHICH I DO NOT WANT TO USE , or is this a setting you can change in Start 10? I mean am I being that obtuse in my obvious question? I CANNOT FIND A WAY TO DO THIS NATIVELY IN START 10. DO I NEED TO REPEAT MYSELF AGAIN? From looking at your image your Universal App link is busted. Might wanna fix that. [e digicons]|-)[/e] This is not an OS
Erm what? I'm specifically talking about the flyout for the Universal Apps. Is there a way in Start 10 to change the background color from white? I am already using 'Modern Style'. Suggesting I use what I am already using is not helpful.
I concur with your complaints. Fortunately I don't have a huge amount of UWP apps installed and I'm at 4K so no scrolling yet. However, I'd also like to say that the ability to change the color would be terrific. (unless I missed that somewhere) Having a dark theme then a blinding white menu on a 50"... is well... not so good.
I thought it was just me...but like you I decided to reinstall this...My current system is way overkill but, I wanted to see what it looked like at 4K. Why is it impossible to find the updates for this? It's silly. If I read you correctly, I have to download the entire new version? Where is that? Ha!
I'm not sure why you're blaming Stardock for your own mistakes. You yourself. noted the TH2 update IN NOVEMBER which made significant changes to the OS and UI. I don't understand your anger based on your own inconsistent claims. Seriously are you arguing that something that skins an OS wouldn't need basically a complete rewrite based on the changes to the OS from Windows 7/8.1? How is that Stardock's fault...and why do you expect that for free?
The first thing I would try is to uninstall Start 10 reboot then reinstall after downloading the latest version.
Quoting HeavyHemi, reply 14 Same old Fire Fox crash on start up running Windows 8.1 64bit, Fire Fox 37 BETA and latest WB version. About the only 'significant' difference is, even after unloading WB, Fire Fox will still crash on start up until I reboot the system.
Same old Fire Fox crash on start up running Windows 8.1 64bit, Fire Fox 37 BETA and latest WB version. About the only 'significant' difference is, even after unloading WB, Fire Fox will still crash on start up until I reboot the system. Oh well....
That doesn't work unless you also enable the title bar. Without enabling the title bar, you get transparent tabs and missing buttons.
This must drive you guys nuts. BTW just for information purposes, FF 36 BETA exhibits exactly the same behavior regarding WindowBlinds as does FF 35. So MAYBE, there will be a short respite from the issues.
Taking up browser real estate by adding the title bar isn't a fix. It's a work around. This 'fix' was posted in the original thread reporting this issue with Fire Fox.
FF 34 BETA is out and it has the same issue.
