Same here.. I just get a blank desktop (blue for me) and until I right click somewhere no icons or fences.. Is this connected to a tablet On/Off somewhere? I think I saw it early on but no longer. Works OK, I guess, but should appear straight away as before

I seldom need to but I want to test some software

That is, it only happened after Start 8 was installed. When I right click on the desktop I get a C++ error. No actual applications have yet been installed. Any solutions or suggestions? please.
