i got the latest update for deskscapes. Now my nice animated desktop isn't working. I have a video loop I play, i like it. it won't just play as a video loop like it used to. I don't want any other effects for now just my video loop playing like it always used to. with the latest, how? And why did just updating break it when it was working fine before? Thanks.

I just tried to use this to skin my windows to something more classic. It nearly trashed my machine, nothing would open, and even task manager couldn't open the 'run' dialog to let me get the windows shell or command window open to do anything. I got lucky to find an account that had NOT been opened since the last major windows update, opened that, still the system was black and not responsive but in that case I was able to kill the windows blind service (I couldn't with the other one

I have deskstapes 8 but the videos don't work because it says I don't have a codec... I do have other things like VLC that play the codecs and the media pack stuff. I was hoping to upgrade to get that working correctly on windows 10, does the upgrade help any with this issue?

If I just buy windows blinds now will I be able to use the beta and use it on windows 10 or will I have to buy it again (like they did with the start menu) when they release the windows 10 version? Thanks.

I recall windows blinds from a very long time ago. I have start 8 but start 10 didn't seem like a real win, especially since you have always been able to add a 'toolbar' folder that points to c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs and have the 'program files' menu back. I like Deskscapes. I don't think I want all the clutter of the object desktops but will try Windows Blinds for Win10 when available. Is there a rough ETA? </p

Hi I have Start8 and also Deskscapes and upgraded to win10 with no problem. Start 8 seems to work generally OK. But there is now less need for it. Also now that the menu is mostly fixed on win10 (and you could always add a quick launch folder pointing to programdata\Microsoft\windows\start menu\programs to get the regular 'all users menu' on win8 or win10), what other advantages do I get with Start 10 now? I don't mind the cos
