ok, I added two screenshots. Ticket-ID is #VHH-640-40633. Hope this helps clarifying what I meant in my post. Thanks, Andreas
Hi everybody, I love Modern Mix but run into a usability problem after getting used to Windows 8.1.1: Without Modern Mix (or with the overlay hidden) it is absolutely easy to close a modern app by moving the mouse pointer to the upper right corner and clicking the close-button on the title bar. With the overlay enabled though, I cant just click to close (or to change to window mode), as a] the overlay buttons won't reach to the corner (wich is really bad!)
Well, there's an easy way to do it using the built-in Start8.1-functionality of Start8: 1. create a shortcut to ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8.exe" Metro" 2. pin it to the taskbar next to the Start8 startbutton. 3. I give it the icon found in %ProgramFiles% (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8.exe, it's very nice and Go and have fun :-) Andy
After using Start8 in win7 style all the time I wanded to give Windows 8 Style a try after installing 8.1 as upgrade (msdn). But I find that Windows 8 Style offers no more "small" nor "medium" options anymore. Is this a Win 8.1 problem or does Start8 no longer support those options? Very curious... Andy
---EDIT---- Don't mind, found the Beta, problem solved... sorry!
Hi everyone at Stardock, first I wanna say that I'm fairly impressed with how nicely Start8 fits into the Windows 8 UI. Yet I'd like to see an improved Version of the "genuine Windows 8 Start Menu", maybe as a third "Style" option in Start8 (probably also incorporable into the existing Win8-Style): A) I'd like to be able to easily switch between ***different Win8-menu configurations*** for different work context (e.G. "Developping", "Presentatio
Hi, when I first read about Decor8, first idea that came to mind is this: How about the Option to have the backgrounf Image scroll with the tiles, BUT at a lower rate to create a sense of 3D? Optionaly one could assign multiple Images which would fit together as a panorama Background, so the backdrop wouldn't have to be one very wide Picture. You could even add some pics that would fit when repeated horizontally. Just my 3ct :-) -------------
Hello, really good work so far :-) Still what I'd like to see too, is - the option for a cascading menue (like in WinXP) to avoid to scrolling - (optional) distiction between right click on start button itself and absolute lower left corner, so you e.g. can right click on the button to get Start8 settings (as it is now) and still right click in the absolute corner to get to Windows 8 menü. Other than this (and the reported bugs) I absolutely love
Hello Stardock Team, I just installed Start8 Beta 3 and realized that this bug still exists: In Programs the following Windows standard start menu folders are not translated in foreign language system (german in my case): Accessories, Accessibility, Administrative Tools, Games, Startup. Same goes for the Shutdown button text (Sleep, Hibernate or whatever is set as default). In the Shutdown Menu everything is translated, only the text on the button itself is in eng
