okay, i did a little workaround: i put all the desktop fences to the 2nd desktop page (so they are hidden while i am on the 1st/main desktop) then i made a portal to the desktop folder and put it on the main desktop. now i can view my desktop content in a "list" view. only letdown is that i don't have a seperated, autosorted list (by filetypes), like one can have with the fences, it's just one huge list - but still better than all the huge icons

fences are for "desktop icons"... okay. but still these icons just are "file types" of all kinds (music, pictures, shortcuts, ... ) to be precise. what is shown in the fences is a file represented by an icon. so when i open a normal windows folder and browse to the desktop i can change the view to "list" or "details". that should definitely be possible in fences too (like it is in the windows explorer and the portals). if possible (and i don't see a reaso

In the folder portals you can select "view" and then "list" or "details" or whatever. In the "normal" fences you can not, it's always the "middlesized symbols", no option to change that viewoption... just the opacity. Is there a reason for that?

I had the same problem, this is the reply i got from the support: "Hello, We've created a new build that may fix your issue. Please download the following file: {Removed by support} Replace the file in the Fences directory with this one and try again."
