Thanks for the suggestion. In the short-term I had already decided to leave the Desktop off the backup list. I am not sure if I have done enough to meet the extended support requirements - no confirmation received. I will just have to wait until 14th Oct.
I am preparing to extend Windows 10 beyond the October deadline. To enable "free" continued support Microsoft are offering the option to turn on Windows Backup, which includes backing up the Desktop. However when I do this the operation of Fences is disrupted. Most shortcuts are moved out of my fenced areas back on to the actual desktop. I am a current Fences 3 user and I recently tried an upgrade to version 4. However I found a new feature very confusing. Every time I attempted the 'Peek' option the only result was that the Windows 10 Start Menu appeared. This is despite the fact that I do not normally use the Windows Start Menu, I have always preferred Classic Shell. I am not certain if I am performing the feature correctly, the demo video is not clea
