The AI would send usually at least 2 waves of fleets to dislodge me while I worked over the planet and SB, sometimes with enough ferocity to actually push me back to the last star system I had just taken.

The game starts minimized while it loads. The game is brought to the foreground once it loads.

you can only modify it when a theme is unloaded, otherwise DesktopX would overwrite your changes when it unloads.
