After installing the Windows 11 23H2 update my tray icons are much bigger than normal. Is this a known issue that is being fixed? Seems to always happen with a new Windows feature release version, and maybe other version updates as well.

I guess I know now to never renew when a Windows 10 update is due soon. It almost always breaks WindowBlinds and Stardock takes forever to release an update. I'm tired of excuses. No reason it should take 2 months or more to release an update. We should be getting a free subscription extension for not being able to use one of the most core packages.
Any update on when the next Windowblinds update will be released that resolves this issue? I just updated my Object Desktop subscription right before this started happening with the most recent Windows 10 update. Windowblinds is my main reason for renewing and so far it has been a waste of money since I currently cannot use Windowblinds on my Windows 10 machine.
Does it continue to work normally if you add multiple desktops?
Can you post a screenshot so I can see it working as expected?
Task View and Timeline are two different things.
I think the issue probably resides with the new feature in Task View where there is a history of previously opened application windows below the virtual desktops that are now at the upper-left instead of at the bottom of the screen where they used to be.
I have this same issue and unloading WB does not bring back normal functionality for me either. There is also no way to disable Task View under the Per Application section either unfortunately.
I found out the problem. It has nothing to do with Start10/Windowblinds 10. I forgot I updated to Windows 10 Education which officially does not have Cortana in it. It was officially removed by Microsoft.
I have the latest Windows 10 Anniversary Update release and Cortana doesn't work at all, only basic search functionality is working with the Search Windows box. Is this a known Start 10 and/or Windowblinds 10 issue? I recently reinstalled Windows 10 AU and Cortana was working up until I installed Start10/Windowsblinds 10 so I think it must be something with one of the programs. Anybody have any ideas for a fix? or if there is one? Thanks.
This issue is no longer present for me on Windows Insider build 14371 released today.
I personally am on Windows Insider build 14366 when this issue first occurred. The issue does not occur on my other PC, a Surface Pro 3, which is on the official Windows 10 Pro release 1511. I know Insider builds are not officially supported, but this bug should be passed on to the development team as it will soon become a bug if it is still present when the Anniversary Edition is officially released next month if Stardock and/or Microsoft do not resolve it before then.
Try this. http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/k_lite_mega_codec_pack,2.html Most of us around here use it. Microsoft doesn't provide codecs anymore...
Didn't help. Problem still persists.
Have either of you installed a codec pack?
No, I have not.
I have this same issue on Windows 10 with Fences 3 enabled. Nothing would fix it other than uninstalling Fences. Single 4k monitor here with a single wallpaper applied.
WindowFX 6.02 is finally working on Windows 10 Build 14295 for me. Not sure about the newest Build 14316 as I had to roll back due to instability issues.
does window blinds still work on the latest windows release? it works fine for me on 14291..
Yes, WindowBlinds 10 still works fine on build 14295.
Since Neil is no longer responding to this thread, not sure if Stardock is still addressing this issue or not. Anyway, Windows 10 build 14295 released today still locks up the system when enabling WindowFX 6.
Update: This issue is still present with WindowFX 6 on Windows 10 build 14291.
Now that WindowBlinds 10 has been officially released, will more internal testing be able to be done on this issue? Hopefully another beta for WindowFX 6 can be released soon.
Hey Neil, WTF, I'm suppose to wait weeks to use my computer because your crapware just ate my desktop? I need it NOW! How do I disable this crap with a black screen where nothing works. And, if you have a fix for it, where is it and why are you still allowing a bad version to be downloaded. Even if it could be downloaded with a black screen(NOT), how would one install it w
Is there any update on this issue? Same thing happens to me, Explorer crashes and desktop goes all black and unresponsive. Windows 10 build 14267.
