how do i activate my sins of a solar empire trinity?

how do i activate my sins of a solar empire trinity? I've bought a physical copy of the game and (following the instructions in the manual) i launched Impulse/Game stop app and went to the my games tab, Apparently there was supposed to be a button that says Activate/Register there but of course there was not. After looking around on the help forums i found out that it was removed and that i could activate it from my Star dock account, No luck there either after searching for well over 1 h
