Sorry for the second post, but I wanted to include before and after registry shots, since my DeskScapes is working: Before: After: thanks!
WOW, YESHHH! Whatever you did, it's all working perfectly :P :O
not for me :/ for some odd reason 'digital sunny palms beach' will load in the preview AND on the desktop, all the others 'no suitable decoder' and even this dream stops working almost immediately (goes static instead of the ani/vid.
yeah, got the MicroSh!+ mpeg-2 download as well.
I did the same, added all those exceptions The only dream that will show is 'sunny palms' the rest say no decoder and a blank preview screen.
Digital sunny palms will load and show on the desktop, nothing else though.
I found virus and threat protection, just not where you said it was.... I use AVG as my antivirus (and have all stardock applications whitelisted) but nothing called controlled access folder
[quote who="sdRohan" reply="14" id="3757239"] You are new to this thread so it is unclear if you have the same issue as the OP, the codec issue. If so, please review reply #5 and respond acordinly as ghitelj2 and justaguySD did with before and after screenshots. The current build of Windows 10 should absolutely have that settings. Please make sure you are on the current build of Windows 10 and review the instructions again. Sean Drohan<br
Nope, doesn't work :/ One dream digital sunny palms or whatever, WILL come up and will appear on the desktop, but nothing else, and even when I switch back to this dream, it disappears and says no codec, etc... Before: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/44/98/4498441/e87e9eb6-f8d0-4145-a978
A new before shot: and After applying the Mars dream: And Deskscape's GUI: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/44/98/4498441/41192494-72de-40da-aedc-09c59b382b34.png" alt="" width="860"
Still same ol', same ol' the beta did nothing at all to resolve the issue: And yes I've installed the K Lite Codec Pack and gone through every single other mentioned step :(
FYI, I've got all the deskscape exe files listed as exceptions, both in WIndow's Defender AND AVG anti-virus (that was the first thing I checked)
I can also choose static images no problem, it won't load any ani's or vids...
Hi, I already posted the Windows Version and other info but here it is again. The Regedit screencap is before and after Before: (I had the steampunk ani at the time) : And afte
As I said, I've followed all the steps, both in this and another thread, 3 times, still no dice. How do I post the relevant windows data needed? Thanks, Joseph
Yep, they don't seem interested in fixing it. In one thread I heard "well, there is only a few of you, so it's not a major problem" WTH? And it IS more than a few, I have another friend in the same boat. So much for software development and customer service ... sigh...
Already done each and every thing
I've also cleanbooted Windows 10 as recommended and tried to troubleshoot that way... no dice :(
yeah, unfortunately I do not have any of the older installs :/
Nope, as I'd mentioned in the other thread, I have already done all of these in detail.
And to clarify, my system has (only) the most updated DirectX, not 9. New installs used to keep all earlier versions, somehow updating to this build of Windows 10 the earlier versions disappeared.
I had already done each step you've mentioned... and double checked (did it tall twice) 1 monitor @ 1920x1080, fonts, icons, and text scaled to 175%, this scale never effected it prior to this, it had worked for a long time with this setting.
Same issue... Same responses... Have the latest MPEG 2 encoders All the windows 10 updates I've used the Purge tool and reinstalled it WTHECK? I hope someone actually monitors this thread :/
