[e digicons][/e] Context menu has acrylic!
Hairbawl87
And where can I get those wallpapers?
"No. Mica wouldn't be used for context menus anyway as you would use acrylic blur. But for now menus have solid backgrounds.
Oh, true! "For now..." I hope it's supported later. I prefer a blend into the Windows 11 theme and Start 11 v2 seems like a step in the right direction!
Change to have UI disable pick a custom color options when mica is enabled and the menu will ignore any set color Does this mean Mica now displays for the context menu?
Why do the right-click context menus not have the Mica effect?
I'm eagerly awaiting news on WindowBlinds being available on Steam. I thought they would explicitly state if it would or not with the new 11 beta.
No news on a Steam release?
That looks beautiful and similar to Terminal's tabbed window...makes me wonder why Microsoft hasn't added tabs to Explorer!
Sweet, thanks!
Tried it on my laptop, but it's still not showing the WindowFX close animation.
Hello, I have WindowFX 6.03 and Groupy 1.1 installed on two machines, but having Groupy enabled prevents the WindowFX close animations from appearing. Interestingly enough, if I ALT+F4 a window like Google Chrome to close, it presents the WinFX close animation. If I click the X to close the window via mouse it simply disappears with no animation. Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player will occasionally display the default animation or none at all. Laptop: </p
Did you ever resolve this issue because I'm having the same thing on my laptop and desktop. My laptop never had WindowFX installed before either. I should mention that I have Groupy, ModernMix, Start8, Decor8 all installed. I just recently started getting into Stardock software again (Groupy dragged me back for Windows Explorer).
I never pin anything on top. It just happens randomly. I haven't been able to figure it out.
I'd like to see where this goes too since I occasionally encounter the bug.
I can't figure it out, but randomly some windows are automatically being "pinned" to always be on top. It's kind of maddening when switching between windows and one out of nowhere decides to be pinned. Anyone else?
The workaround is disabling animations for the start menu in WindowsFX.
I noticed for me that if you close the modern app via the app's jumplist it won't clone another taskbar icon.
Yep that's it^ No word from Stardock...I figure they could have fun with providing different layouts which would keep Start8 somewhat relevant.
Any plans to include different styles of the start menu? I saw the mockup of the classic and metro blend on a BUILD 2014 video. It looked pretty cool.
I just noticed this. It must be an oversight - might be worth fixing.
Worth a shot at asking. Thanks for the reply.
Hello, Stardock. Have your programmers or any other users suggested or explored that the Modern/Metro Start Menu just become a transparent but blurred overlay. In other words, have a Decor8 or Start8 setting to show the windows and active content in the background, but blurred like the Aero effect from Windows Vista. Just have the Start tiles on top. Would this be feasible?
I had the beta of WinFX installed and now I just updated to v5.12, but everytime I right-click a taskbar icon to bring down the jumplist there is an awkward animation that is being painted. Using Win8.1 Pro x64
Mine was Nov. 16, 2012, but I just tried the beta and it works. I generally stay away from betas. Edit: Works, but I am noticing that the menu animation is applying to jumplists menus which causes an annoying flicker.
I'm looking to do this as well.
