i'm tryin what you said , it WORKED !!
well i work at a computer store and have access to all the drives - so when i install Vista ( not untill late Jan. - i'm getting a Free copy , lucky me - ) anyway i'll fiquer out what works and report back here with my findings
Great new feature in Windows Vista is " ReadyBoost " what this does is allow you to boost up your ram by using a Thumb ( Flash ) drive connecting to any USB(2)port .So give your Ram a boost , plug in a thumb drive ( the catch though ) is that the thumb drive " must be " of equal or greater value i.e. i'm running 2 gigs of ram so thumb drive must be atleast a 2 gig or higher - a windows pop-up will then appear ( windows does love it's pop-up's ) and ask you if you want to use this drive to boost
DO YOU KNOW ??? For those of you that know more about skinning and less about computers a new treat with " VISTA " will be that you can simply Double up your RAM by adding a thumb drive ( flash ) of equal ram value or higher by inserting the thumb drive into your USB ( 2 ) speed port , you will get a pop up saying do you want to use this thumb drive as a drive or as extra ram - choose ram and bingo you double your ram - i'm running 2 gigs of ram so a thumb of 2 gigs will give me 4 gigs of ram (
Well , I did my pre-flight check first of course - plug in cell phone ( no beeping ) turn-off dinner ( no smells ) - running a DT cpu 820 intel Duo 2 GB of ram Windows XP Pro Media Center Edition SP2 , Office 2003 - IE6 ( can't get the damn IE7 to load somethings blocking it ???- help ) anyway " HAPPY " to report ALL-is-well , everything ( so-far ) working just find seems to be working good on XP <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrat
