Quite a heavy penalty... Am I the only person who's actually read an EULA? Apparently you never own any game, which is a huge surprise to me.

To my knowledge the idea is either to sell more units to compensate for the reduced cost, or an overstock. Either way, Steam is more known about, I daresay, so perhaps publishers give them more leeway than in their eyes ultimately inferior electronic resources like Impulse. My speculation.

I think 5$ or BF2 on Steam is better than the 15 here. It's understandable, however, because to my knowledge Impulse is barely past infancy, right? They probably can't afford to give discounts like the omnipotent Steam. Just my two cents.

? I didn't have both on :/ I turned off Windows firewall "just to be sure" that it wasn't anything with Avast, or my internet. In simpler terms, I rely on Avast, but when lowering it didn't solve anything, I checked Windows Firewall to see if that was the problem. Impulse will download useless wallpapers, but not the game.

I don't have a proxy, and neither of those work. Although I appreciate your assistance The thing that really doesn't make sense is that I can download a sweet desktop, but not Battlefield 2. Very odd. I've sent two tickets, one being a mistake on my part, hopefully they get back to me soon [e digicons]\o/[/e]

Okey dokey, I finally decided to give impulse a second shot after spending an hour downloading a desktop before. I bough Battlefield 2: The complete collection. I received the email and checked my impulse, and started the download. It didn't make it much farther. First it was at 0.0%, and than it claimed to be "retrying.." In addition, all my internet browsers report they're "resolving proxy" whenever I attempt to download. :/ I lowered all my firewalls, still nothing.
