"Retrying.." "Resolving Proxy.."

Okey dokey, I finally decided to give impulse a second shot after spending an hour downloading a desktop before. I bough Battlefield 2: The complete collection. I received the email and checked my impulse, and started the download. It didn't make it much farther. First it was at 0.0%, and than it claimed to be "retrying.." In addition, all my internet browsers report they're "resolving proxy" whenever I attempt to download. :/

I lowered all my firewalls, still nothing.

1) It kills my internet

2) It doesn't download

I would be most grateful if someone could respond to this issue.

I also reinstalled Impulse. Still nothing  -_-

And since from what I've read all of Support is off, so there goes my opportunity to try the game *sigh*. I really wish now that I had spent 5$ more to buy it off of Steam.

I guess no one is in support on weekends? Or is it just members of the staff that are supposed to reply. ._.

Ah crap, this isn't the right forum is it. Sorry.

Open Impulse, right click on question mark upper right. Click Diagnose Network connection problems.....

What does it say?

Funny thing being that yesterday I tried downloading a wallpaper, that worked. It just doesn't want to download my game.

....and it shows your purchased game....correct?

I'll assume you have IE installed and not behind a proxy.

Upper right corner of Impulse drop down. Preferences/ click "Reset Data'". Restart Impulse.

Repeat for "Clear Usage Data"

Failing that or neither of the above is correct, try: same Drop down/ Preferences/ Connection

I don't have a proxy, and neither of those work.

Although I appreciate your assistance

The thing that really doesn't make sense is that I can download a sweet desktop, but not Battlefield 2. Very odd. I've sent two tickets, one being a mistake on my part, hopefully they get back to me soon \o/

No idea why it won't allow a download/ install.

I lowered all my firewalls, still nothing.

Just out of curiosity, what firewall (s?) are you using?

Well, there goes my present this year I guess. Might as well just repurchase it off of Steam.

Avast Internet Security, and Windows Firewall just to be sure.

You've gotta be kiddin'...........

.....that's your self-inflicted problem right there. You want to spend extra money "just to be sure", knock yourself out.

 ?

I didn't have both on :/

I turned off Windows firewall "just to be sure" that it wasn't anything with Avast, or my internet.

In simpler terms, I rely on Avast, but when lowering it didn't solve anything, I checked Windows Firewall to see if that was the problem.

Impulse will download useless wallpapers, but not the game.
