Yes, multiplayer would definitely solve the problem. But living in a regional/semi-rural area with only crappy over-priced mobile broadband being available, it kinda shoots that idea in the foot. Plus I usually restrict myself to Caps only plus 50 supply of non-Caps in game to give the AI a bit of advantage over me, just to make it interesting. But thanks for the replies guys, the info is most appreciated.

Hi all, One thing I've noticed since the update to 1.82 is that Advent Loyalists seems to always be the first AIs to be killed off completely in all the maps I'm played since the update. Even when I've set up AL to a 3:2 advantage over all the other AIs and I've been sending the pirates after the non-AL AI, the ALs still all seem to die off before any non-AL. Has any one else noticed this?

Thanks GoaFan77, Your help and feedback is greatly appreicated. I came up with this idea of a 'capital' class starbase (I consider the current starbases in the unmodded game to be 'crusier' class/level) while in between two lectures at Uni this morning and sufferingthe consqences from lack of sleep. <p

Hi All, I'm not sure if I should post this here , but here goes. I've a three part question here. Firstly, in terms of the game engine mechanics, are starbases limited to just one type/class of starbase per race? Secondly, if not, is the game engine capable of handling an entity metamorphisis? Finally, can a buildable entity be limited to specific area or terrain, like starting homeworld or terran worlds only?

Hi all, Just a small thing I've noticed with the AR titan is that once it's leveled up and taken the Unyielding Will ability, is that it no longer awards xp once it's finally destroyed (around 1200xp at this stage of the game). From what I can tell from the game mechanics is that the titan is treated as an invulnerabl

Thanks for the reply Yarlen. Minidumps, gamefiles and screen caps have been zipped and emailed to the rebellionsupport@ address Verified game file/cache at 100%. no errors. I was able to reload game from autosave files, but when saving it under a new filename, it corrupts that new savefile too and minidumps on reload. I can't delete the corrupted savefiles through the Manage Files panel on the Option menu. So I'm going to delete them manually, If that doesn&#39

My main savegame file has corrupted and caused minidumps whenever I tried to open at about the 8hr mark, and now the game will not allow me to delete the corrupted game file through the 'Manage Files' panel in the Options menu. Plus Steam client now seems to be conflicting with Sins-Reb by thinking the game is still running when it's not. it's even happened on a fresh boot-up of the Steam client and just shuting it straight back down again. I have the minidumps

There is a retail version sold here in Australia, through EB Games and other computer games retailers, I know I brought it, only cost $40 but it's worth it in my opinion and yes you still need steam to play it.

Argh, Ok, I stuffed up, lol, and being on the the tail-end of a 36 hr bout of insomnia didn't help at all. My most sincere apologies to anyone and everyone who tried to show me the short sightedness of above comments. But there is bug (and thankfully it's minor annoying one at that) with towing homing mines through wormholes and a lesser extent and extremely rarer occurrance phase lanes. If a Dev or someone can PM me the instruction on how to manually record a section

[quote who="-Ue_Carbon" reply="5" id="3187783"] Quoting greyseer, reply 2Yeah, I know that the Advent has Homing Mine Sqaudrons attached to their Carriers, but advent carriers cannot lay independent mines in a non-colonisible zone like a Worm-hole or Asteroids-belt like the Vasari can, the Vasari actually have a specialised mine layer unit - the Ruiner. There nothing in the game that says they cant. Quoting greyseer, r

Lol, the Space Ponies are real, does that make Ironclad the Vasari? Oh, and a 40-hr single player campaign and in-game customisation of ships, now that has me interested already. Hell, my first real empire-style games was Birth of Federation and Age of Wonders, and the only reason I still don't play BoF is that my cd cracked on me because my cd drive wasn't correctly aligned and was vibrating the disc as it span. Plus the Buy-line

Found a bug in the Star Trek - Allegiance map mod For some reason, whenever I choose a particular race it always puts me in a randon race and seems to exclude the race I had chosen. Here is a small sample of the breakdown 6 seperate games I started to test this out, where I choose the 1st race/faction and got the 2nd race/faction. TEC loyalist, it puts me in the Vasari loyalist faction with their units and tech trees TEC Rebel, puts me in the TEC

Argh!!! damn you Steam *shakes fist menacingly at vacant sky* For some unknown and god forsaken reason, my Steam client is now refusing to log into Offline mode, it still logs in to the deflaut Online mode, but can't or won't switch over to Offline mode for any of my games. Plus I only have a crappy mobile boardband ISP with limited data allotment, and I don't have the GB to waste this month. Damn living in regional Australia. Logged a support ticket

Ok I don't know if this has already been posted, but I seen on at least several different occasions that the Pirates have been killed off by AIs using only culture to do it, not the Advent superweapon, just the general Culture spread effect. It's pretty much like how a player uses their culture to flip a AI planet into a netral planet, but from some reason this only happens with AI culture, never with an actual players culture effect. In one weird case when playing the
