So, I got to thinking about anything that had changed recently and I realized that I had installed a dual monitor software package called "Actual Multiple Monitors" to give me some extra control over different screen timeouts for each monitor, but I digress. I found that if I disable Actual Multiple Monitors, the flashing Recycle Bin in my taskbar goes away. Hi Basj - I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled from a freshly downloaded copy of Start11v2. Upon completing the installation and enabling Enhance Taskbar, the issue did not appear. Upon restarting Explorer however the issue returned. Rebooting the machine exhibits the same behavior. Thanks!
Hello Basj - I disabled Start 11 Enhance Taskbar and the flashing icon went away. When I re-enable, the flashing icon is no longer there, however when I reboot (with Start 11 Enhance Taskbar still enabled), the flashing icon is back. Also, after disabling Start 11 and reenabling with it not flashing, if I restart explorer the flashing icon returns. It appears to move laterally 1/2 icon position on the bar depending on whether or not I have minimized applications on the taskbar a
To the best of my knowledge, I did not pin it there... just noticed one blinking between two others on the taskbar. I'm currently running Windows 11 Pro, v24H2 (Build 26100.4652). As I open other items on the desktop, it appears to move to the right on the taskbar to where it is even blinking behind existing other pinned icons. Not sure if it matters, but I am running at 4k resolution. I did try lowering it to 2k with no change.
I currently have an empty Recycle Bin icon flashing in my taskbar. If I turn off "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" and restart explorer, there is no more flashing. I'm currently running Start 11 v2.53 Wanted to see if any one else was seeing this and if so, were you able to come to a resolution? Thanks!
