It's a clue and it's a new occurrence for me after hours upon hours of play on 2 and 3. This latest iteration had my fleet with twice the firepower (before the fighters are added in), said fighters and self healing abilities. Also, it was clearly stated in the original post that mouse hover reported, "victory certain." This is not a calculation to viewer issue; it is a bug. It's rendering the game unplayable.
