BRAVO! I tested this by 1. Unchecking the "Set style light / dark mode" 2. Downloaded "Double Gradient by Niel Barield" which appears which a white thumbnail. 3. Applied. 4. It's still in dark mode. Tested with several others, so far so good. TYVM. Stardock: This setting says "recommended" but clearly it should not.

When prompted to edit current or make a new theme, there is no cancel button. The X to close the window goes forward to edit existing, it should cancel the process.
Many themes don't bother to configure the vertical taskbar. Add a filter for incomplete themes. And encourage themers to be thorough.
The store shows the themes thumbnails sometimes as light, sometimes dark BUT most of the themes have both light and dark settings. Why not make a thumbnail for each and let the user choose whether to browse using the light or dark?
When changing themes, Curtains likes to revert to light mode. I have to wait for it to load and blind me THEN chang to proper dark mode. I know some people seem to like light displays... do they also enjoy staring into spotlights? Don't ever change my setting from dark to light. Ever.
The wrong color is showing. I have NO REDS AT ALL in my colors. I've been through the settings and cannot find any reason for this. It's just like windowblinds all over again, nothing makes sense.
If you want a blind that's dark with light text you could try 7Dusk. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/7574/
This is a really nice theme. Thanks!
Thanks, I'll try that one. These are my favorites so far... Distinct https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/8848/ Dark Tone https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/8188/ FBI https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/9043/
Do you think that is odd? The most robust windows skinning tool cannot be skinned? Have you tried applying per-application to the wb10config.exe? It causes the theme preview to show the applied theme rather than the current one.
Thanks for the amazing response, btw, screenshots and all. I use WB to theme all windows with dark backgrounds. I don't want to be blinded by WB while configuring WB. Are you saying that WB Configuration background cannot be Configured?!
What theme will make the configuration window have a black background with white text?
Light gray text on white background. This program wb10config.exe wont accept skins.
Skinning wb10config.exe does not seem to have any affect. This coloring is an eyesore.
Thanks, that's what I was referring to. DF profiles are for monitor configuration including splits, icons, screen saver, taskbar, and audio devices. The issue is not simply padding. Saving DF settings can temporarily get it working. After closing a window or 2... or3... it wont close anymore. This sounds odd but there's a similar issue with one of the user scripts triggering from the title bar only the first time, requiring saving settings
The custom buttons are part of DF. I've installed skin studio and looked at it but have not saved (on this OS install).
Update: DF padding + WB loaded = fail. Tried with and without splits. Any padding set in "splits and padding" breaks the titlebar buttons. Setting the padding to 0 restores functionality.
I've removed WB and DF, choosing complete removal option. After install, the problem remains the same. With either app exited, titlebars are fine. Buttons work when: WB and DF loaded with defaults (fresh install) Fresh install and some built-in titlebar buttons enabled. Added custom button using 13x13 icon (defaults are 11) Added custom button using 22x22 icon. Adjusted window border size. Buttons
Sorry, I tried with DF and WB one at a time, the issue requires both at the same time. I tried built in profiles and custom, the issue does not seem to be specific to profiles. Reinstall is a really good idea.
I'm on 1709, DF 9.5 b1, 10.73 Not insider.
Win10 Pro 64, WB 10.73 When WB and DisplayFusion are running at the same time, the title bar buttons fail. The min/max/close all do the same thing, max/restore. Affects explorer, Firefox, Chrome, WB windows, DF windows... Tried with various custom and included themes. Default theme works, I think this is nearly equal to unloading WB? I don't see any settings that might resolve this in either app. Also, I ran across this <a href="https://
Is this a known bug?
By unloading windows blinds and loading different themes, I found that some themes override exceptions, and once that happens, all further applied themes also override the exception list. Themes that broke exception for notepad++: Cressida Acronic Azurelight Nightlight Something blue Themes that did not break exception: Alpha Nebula Blue Steel</l
OK I did what I should have done in the first place, killed explorer and started it again. Now it's skinned white like the theme I set it to. But not skinning explorer is not OK, it's the whole point of using windowblinds. It is good to see some affect from using the exceptions. Notepad and Scite are colored properly, but the task bar and start menu are blinding.
After adding to the "do not skin" list, did you choose a skin to use or use "disabled? Disabled uses a 98 looking skin, or you can use a different skin for that app.
Tried both ways and with several themes, nothing happens.
When I use a skin that changes explorer, notepad++ and Scite get all messed up on the toolbar / menus. Adding them to exceptions did not fix the issue. Adding explorer exception did not fix the issue. Resolved by using a skin that either makes explorer similar to original colors, or does not skin it at all. This is very disappointing, I wanted the system menu's to be skinned. I hope I'm doing it wrong....
