Looks like this problem is still an issue for many. I wasn't able to get this one resolved.

I am having the same issue. I can still click on the desktop and the icons will disappear, but the configure dialog screen doesn't come up. I right click on the desktop and choose 'configure fences' and nothing happens. I've even tried clicking on fences.exe directly. My OS is Windows XP pro SP3 Using Fences pro v. 1 ATI Radeon HD 2600XT Card Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2GB RAM
