I have reproduced the issue and reported it to the developer.

Are you seeing this on Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit? Which version of ObjectDock are you using?
Which version of ObjectDock are you using? What version of Windows are you seeing this on? Please close ObjectDock, then rename or move the 'ObjectDockPlus' folder under: XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Local\Stardock Vista\7: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Stardock You will need to replace USERNAME with your Windows username. Then try running ObjectDock again.
As an update, the developer is looking at getting folder fences implemented. Fences will likely remain GUI-configured (versus CLI), however.
In the meantime, I just installed Fences Pro and in each fence, the icons crowd the left edge so far that the border around each highlighted icon is cut off by the left boundary of the fence. It's no big deal but it looks shabby and I'd like to fix it. Anyone else see this? Can it be fixed apart from the enhancement features?
Do you have your icons set to a different size from normal? Fences should com
Please try enabling "Store fence sizes and positions on a per-screen-resolution basis" under the Fences settings -> Tools -> More Tools.
Please try the following: -For VISTA/7 Users: click Start, in the start search field type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator'. For XP Users: Click Start and then Run, Type 'cmd' and hit enter. -VISTA/7 ONLY: If UAC is enabled, click 'Continue' -Type: sfc /scannow -Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes) -When the scan has completed, please let us know the result
I've not seen this before. Can you post a screenshot of the specific error dialog that you are seeing?
I have not seen this behavior. Note that you cannot hide individual fences by double-clicking. Does this persist after reboot? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fences?
Perhaps the antivirus software is interfering with Fences. Try adding an exception to or temporarily disabling your McAfee antivirus to see if it makes a difference.
Did installing through the store help? If it did not, can you please check that you have proper write permission for the following directory: C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Fences
When you right-click on the desktop do you see an option for "Configure Fences" in the context menu? If you hold down the right mouse button and drag for a bit, then release, do you see an option pop up to create a new fence?
Does this occur with a specific file type? Are you dragging from another folder, or from a program (ex - from a web browser or zip program)? Do you have any rules applied to the fence? If you hover over an empty portion of the fence for a couple seconds, then drop, does it go into the fence properly?
If the activation server cannot be reached, the activation program should create a text file with an activation request in it. Is this file being created? If so, can you please write to support@stardock.com with the file attached and a description of the problem and what you are trying to activate?
One thing to check is that your system time and date are correct, as this could interfere with the authentication.
Not sure off hand. There is a free version of ObjectDock that you can try before purchase: https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/
Fences is certainly not dead, and is currently actively undergoing development. More details should be available soon, though I don't have an ETA at this time.
Fences actually has this functionality already. In the Fences settings under 'Tools', the snapshots feature allows you to revert to a previous desktop setup.
Currently neither Fences free or pro will allow you to disable auto-arrange.
I'm sure Netflix is plenty profitable, but don't forget that their profit margins are slimming due to greedy movie studios asking for more and more money in their contracts each time renewal comes up. Deals have reached into the billions (*cough* Paramount *cough*) http://techcrunch.com/2010/08/10/netflix-lands-streaming-deal-with-paramount-mgm-lionsgate/
...and they told me I would never amount to anything ;)
Very exciting stuff, indeed!
Do you have a folder named 'Themes' under C:\? If so, please try temporarily renaming this folder and try installing CursorFX again. If you are able to install, you can change the name of that folder back to 'Themes'.
