Hey guys, I finally think I understand what happens. It's very strange, but it works. The idea came because the support told me regarding another issue (the Windows Explorer Crash) that I have to "verify" my installation. Sorry if it sounds more complicated how I explain it, but my English is not perfect.... (as you might know already *ggg*). Well, let's start: If Impulse doesen't recognize the installation properly (check this with the right mouse click on the app in impulse and choo

Please don't tell me, I have to forget about it.... [e digicons]x_x[/e] Okay, I try it that way: In SkinStudio the settings for the Border is " not sizable ". In all Windows programs it won't be sized and fits perfect. Only in Office 2007 it looks as if the settings of SkinStudio (or
Drachenstein - Have you retried updating as the 'file size' issue seems to have been fixed. If not, please email support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket. The forums are mainly user supported and the 'official' support process is to email or call them.
Going a bit OT now: no, it's not fixed yet. Still the same. I've sent a ticket already for the "Explorer Crash" but Stardock did not bother to answer (yet

Yeah, that was my though as well. Only the concept with a plan for all objects required and how they shall look like including the different states for buttons, checkboxes and so on. Maybe different styles. Afterwards the work with Photoshop. Testing. Different versions of programs (e.g. Internet Explorer), unforseen behaviour of WB or SKS.... [e digicons]:O[/e] Respect! So it's a very intense hobby if one wants to create really good skins. But it's a very nice jo

Thanks, forgot to tell that together with the fix for the margin I also corrected this. I've adjusted some other things too, and now I'm very happy with my new old skin (although of course still some things are missing like start menu, taskbar, Internet Explorer 8 design etc.). I'm impressed, it's really a cool thing this SkinStudio, unbelievable all the things you can modify! But it's a time killer, I spent the whole day with it - but at least it wa

Jazzymir Hero! You're right, of course it was the left margin, it was somehow overlapping with another element. The "pixel error" was just the upper left corner from the bitmap behind . I spent so much time earlier today to check each pixel of the bitmap etc. etc. and at the end the solution is so simple [e digicons]8(|[/e] Thanks so much for this hint!

Hi there After many years I installed WindowBlinds again. And finally I even found my favorite skin I used before (see https://forums.wincustomize.com/371349 ) Of course this skin is not up to date. So I downloaded Skin Studio and now (without having any idea what I'm doing *g*) I'm trying to make this skin work again. So I just created and implemented successfully new pictures for checkboxes and radio buttons (which di

@RedneckDude: I guess Nachtuil is talking about the final version (not the beta) that doesent't work properly @Neil: I can't install the 7.01 beta because this impulse @#!%$! doesen't work either (error "file size", see sep. thread)

... Another piece of collateral damage...there is a logon changer program available at tweaks.com. For the most part, it works great. But, if I have a Windowblinds 7 style displayed, then when I run that tweak program, none of the buttons appear at the bottom of its little window so I can't change anything. So, if I change the style back to the standard aero theme that comes with Windows 7, then the tweak program runs fine. Same problem h

As a solution for Stardock until this Windows Explorer crash is fixed I'd suggest the following: In the WB settings there is an option "Use the taskbar and startmenu from this skin:" but there you can't choose a windows standard scheme (or the possibility to choose "none". I think it would be good to also have this option to prevent WB from crashing all the time. That just came into my mind after Windows Explorer crashed two times within five minutes as I clicked on an i

I also tried that. It always stops when 80% reached in the status column. So how can this thing complain about that the file is larger than expected when not even 100% downloaded? 04:00 am. Either I go to bed now or sooner or later such nice guys with the white jackets are coming to get me.... *ggg* [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
This can happen when there are security programs that interfere with the download. If you have any such programs, try adding Impulse.exe as an exclusion in them. If this does not help, try temporarily disabling them and then try again.
No, in my firewall all the Starbucks (ahem, -docks) and Impulse stuff (hell, why does this require so many entries at all???) is enabled in both directions.
In Impulse enable show prereleases (on the menu you can open from the top left of the impulse window). Then install the beta update which is WB 7.01. Hopefully this will resolve your problem.
Okay, prereleases are enabled. But something goes wrong, during the download it always (tried several times) seems to stop and says "File downloaded is larger than expected": <img src="http://www

I have a brand new WindowBlinds for a couple of hours running on Windows 7 32bit Ultimate with countless Errors: "Windows Explorer stopped working". Sweeeet! [e digicons]:d[/e] Mike, how did you find that? Cool! It's really "Violaceous" by hyaline! And I still think that it's the most beautiful skin, just look at the nice borders of a window. It's really something very special! I could load it and it is still in the same beauty like it was before: and see

I downloaded this skin in 2001, but I have no idea if it was in WinCustomize Library. I'm still going through all the available current skins, but it takes too much time since there is no overview with details. So I would be also happy if anybody knows about a skin that is in a similar style like my old one was.

Hi there I was not that happy with the look of my new Windows 7 and I remembered that I used WindowBlinds earlier. So I just installed the new version and I'm overwhelmed with the high amount of skins avaliable. It'll take years to go through each preview... Actually I would like to get the look back I had years before with WindowBlinds. But I only have a screenshot of how a window looked like on my computer: <img src="http://www.drachenstein.ch/download/various/Window
