Got it working again on this machine just by re-entering the License Key information in the About box. In case you didn't know, here is what it said may cause DesktopGPT to keep breaking: There could be several reasons why DesktopGPT or similar applications might experience issues or "break." Here are some common factors that could contribute to such problems: <ol sty
I give up. I got the one I want to use working and then did the update you suggested via the Desktop GPT About box. It already had my email address, so I entered the license key and verified it was still working Then I went to the other machine and tried the same thing. It did not know my email address, so I entered both. It was still not working so I exited Desktop GPT on that machine, started it up again and entered both the license key and the email addres
Anyway, even though it is only half solved, it is at least working on one machine and the one machine it is working on is the one I wanted to use it on. This definitely needs to be less flakey.
Well, partly so.... I went to the other machine that now shows this: Also the Object Desktop License info screen had the License blanked out when I went to look at it. It seems that while Object Desktop understands that I have separate licenses, Desktop GPT gets confused because it looks at the email address for tokens. I could be mistaken, but th
Adam, We have fixed this. While I always log in to this machine with my License Key, the other machine had a license from 2023 and this one has a license from 2024. On that one, I had logged in with my email address. On this one I had logged in with my License Key. When I went to check that I had the right License Key on my other machine, it did not seem to know what it was. I logged out of that machine. Rebooted it a
As an aside, I have no issues connecting to or from either computer to any and all things from shopping sites to Google docs to running requestss against weather APIs to running Power Query to download data or even to sites like FanDuel and Reddit. I have no problem updating Stardock apps nor downloading DeskScapes backgrounds. I think my internet connections, though secure, are likely not the issue unless DesktopGPT is using a port I am not allowing.
I have never attempted to use Desktop GPT on my other machine (which has its own license) but just tried it and got the same error, which leads me to a possible reason for this. The suggestion to log in by account may have been a clue since it asks for my email address but not the license key. In the past, one of my complaints has always been that Stardock does not handle users with multiple licenses well. They seem to believe that one person means one email means one co
Sean, I am not using a VPN and I have no issues connecting to StarDock for any other purpose from this machine. Upgrades go smoothly and without any warnings or issues and without disabling any antimalware tools.
Both licenses are good until some time in mid 2026. Not trying to be a jerk, but according to that site, the issues it supports are these: I am not trying to manage my account. Those issues are in the past. I am not trying to purchase anything nor get a refund (yet) and I am not trying to close any account, merge any account, change my email or anything
I turned off the BitDefender Firewall (which had been on when I burned through all of the initial tokens without any issue). Then, since Windows turns on the Defender Firewall when I do that, I disabled that as well. Still:
Thanks. Still trying. Logging out and logging back in did not work. Got the same error message. I don't expect logging in using my account to work well (because I have multiple Object Desktop licenses on my account), but I tried that anyway and got this: will continue trying other suggestions.
Token Usage & Information also does not respond although it shows that I have over 245,000 tokens available. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
Always getting "Failed to get response from server - {"Success":false,"Data":null,"Messages":null,"StatusCode":400,"DataType":"ChatCompletionResponse"}" When I first installed this product, it worked well and I tested a lot of things using up all of my tokens on one of my accounts. Recently, all I get is " Failed to get response from server" regardless of which account I use and which
But we do need to check frequently. I have an Object Desktop License for two machines and one of these keeps asking me to enter the product key for ObjectDock and Groupy. I have been trying for weeks to determine which license key to use. I know that the machine which is demanding these is the older of the two licenses, but your website only shows the keys, not any dates associated with them. However, if I had bought these at the same time, even that would not help.</p
I, like you, love Objectdock. Fortunately, I discovered that if you go to the Objectdock folder (within Stardock folder), right click on "ObjectDock.exe", select Properties, and select the Compatibility tab you will be given the option to run ObjectDock in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Problem solved.
Thank you for that suggestion. I will try it. ObjectDock has always been a bit flakey i
Old news....Read the forums. My point is, they made it something that Windows 11 could really use. You should rethink that.
Honestly, while it works (sorta) in Windows 10 and is unsupported now, this product would make up for quite a few shortcomings in the Windows 11 Taskbar which even Start11 does not address. I have ObjectDocks which autohide in Windows 10 (sorta) and which can be aligned as I wish (to the sides or top) and which have tabs and files and links. This is the direction Windows probably would have gone if they were favoring functionality over standardization. Really, you should c

However, I was reacting to the accusation that wanting the product to open multiple instances was contrary to its design. Not sure about your other users, but that is the specific rea
From this, you are wanting Groupy to do the exact opposite of what it was designed to do. What would make more sense to me is if those 12 Excel instances (in your example) were also grouped with other things, not just them by themselves - that you would want Groupy to group each Excel instance with something else - otherwise, you script to open Excel 12 times (and only Excel) would suffic
Thank you for your help. I am quite familiar with how to start and run multiple Excel Instances. I can start them all with a VBA Macro quite easily. My issue is that when I have a group of Excel Instances (not with any open worksheet or with a blank workbook or with a specific workbook) and I save the group of Excel Instances via Groupy so I can restart the dozen instances in tabs rather than running a macro and having Groupy group them automatically, Groupy does n
Big Duh.... I can right-click on any of the tabs and get the options. Thanks again if you have any other alternatives.
When a group is quite narrow, the "X" Close button overlaps the vertical "..." options menu and one cannot reliably click on it without the potential for closing the entire group. Not sure what my options are.... Is there a way to eliminate the close group option there? Is there a hotkey to open the groupy options? Is there a way to isolate these so they do not overlap? Thank you for any help you can offer.
I will try. At one time, everything opened from the same Multiple Document Interface could share information with other spreadsheets in that same frame. Hence you could cut and paste cells or specific formats or values from cell to cell. They all shared the same frame and settings. If you opened another instance of Excel (i.e., in another MDI Frame), it would not know about the prior ones you opened in the first frame and if you were to cut and paste from a cell in t
