I have to say I'm ok with the graphics as well - then again, I'd even be ok with the original Political Machine's graphics. I do, however, miss the historical (and fictional) characters (and occasional odd-ball issues). Given that this is the third in the series, and the games seem to play rather similarly, I'm kind of surprised (though not disappointed) that the previous two presidential campaigns aren't included as options.

I don't miss the campaign mode so much as the lack of historical presidents. That said, I'm enjoying the game immensely.
