Yes. I logged it as a bug which they say "could be fixed in a future release". Make of that what you will, but the actual issue is the combination of "reserve edge of screen" and "hide taskbar".

The issue happens when you have "Reserve Edge Of Screen" turned on.
I had this issue. Stardock support couldn't come up with a answer apart from re-installing windows. I finally got a chance to do a clean install, and hey presto, OD no longer freezes. So I still don't know why it happened, nor what might make it happen again, but all is fine now.
I found how to fix the problem. Re-install Vista ;) Drastic I know, but it was a good excuse to give my PC a spring clean. Unfortunately it means I won't be installing any more Stardock products. I had reached the stage where I only really used Windowblinds, but due to a bug that I reported and was "escalated" (whatever that means) 3 months ago, I have been unable to use it. So I've gotten used to not having it around. Vista doesn't look that bad really and luckily my subscripti
Bump. Do we know if there is any further info on this major bug? IP is the last OD product that I need to uninstall, but I can't because all my icons vanish.
Can anyone tell me where I can pick up the Aqualix for Vista Icon Pack? I think they are supposed to be installed if you download the "Icon Set" from Stardock Central, but I've tried that and no new icons appear. Thanks in advance. Bryan
Any update from support?Did you email? Did you get an autoresponse? Did you follow the directions?
No, but then rameses had, and I don't see much point in raising what appears to be the same issue. Sorry. I thought it was clear that was who the question was directed at.
Reply from Insight Software: [I]We looked at this problem yesterday afternoon and are getting the same results. One of the functions within the mexhook.dll file is the keyboard remapping feature in Macro Express. It looks like this is the function that is clashing with MagicClock. Right now our thinking is to place an option in Macro Express to turn on or off the keyboard remapping option. Turning it off would allow MagicClock to work correctly, and potentially other apps as w
I have not received any emails. But it doesn't have anything to do with my macros because I have uninstalled, and re-installed from scratch. As soon as Macro Express runs for the first time, the clock gadget stops. I have not contacted Insight Software, but I will give them a try too. Thanks Bryan
Apologies, I had broken the above WWW link, but it's working again now.
Done. The config file is here: [link="http://www.s209086557.websitehome.co.uk/wsb4562076801/mystuff/images/config.mcf"]WWW Link[/link]
Ah, this seems to have fallen under a S.E.P. field. I shall log if official then, thanks.
Didn't know there were different versions. I presume it's not the MyColours version: Mike, I have found what the problem is, it's a macro program called [link="http://www.macros.com/"]Macro Express[/link]. When this is running the clock behaves as mentioned above. When this isn't running the clock works correctly. I have run your command with and without this program running, see below, and the difference appears to be "mexhook.dll". I don't know if thats a problem you can get
The second hand doesn't move and the time on the clock doesn't change, except when I right click on the clock and it shows the "Close/About/Autorun" menu. While this menu is visible, the second hand ticks happily away. (Running Vista 32bit) Thanks
FYI. The problem has been fixed. "Just to let you know, the lead developer of WindowBlinds has looked into the issue and has fixed this. When the next version of WindowBlinds is released (5.51) this issue should be resolved." Thanks Stardock.
Hey ho.. have sent report to stardock support. Fingers crossed.
There is a big problem using 16 bit programs under Vista and Windowblinds. Vista copes with them with no problems, but Windowblinds cause corruption of SDI windows. Below is an example of a 16 bit program I knocked up to demonstrate. Application opening an MDI window (everything ok): Application opening an SDI window (title bar invisible, although text still shown) <img src="http://www.westoncp.org.uk/test/
If you have a shortcut, in ObjectDock, that displays as a menu, e.g. the start menu, the icons are too close to the text in the menu. Unload WB and they are fine. Maybe it is a skin setting somewhere, but every skin I've tried so far has produced the same problem.
