Hiya I recently re-downloaded Sins of a Solar Empire because I felt the nerve to play it. Everything went smoothly, including the updates, until I got around to actually starting up the game. Every time I would move the mouse over button icons or click on the sound of them normally would reverberate irregularly through my speakers. Glitchy music appears to be present as well. This problem never happened a month or so ago

Well anyone know how to fix this problem? i would like to play sins with some noise in the game instead of it being silent or crackling all the time.

The game is verified and i did disable/ reenable my sound hardware to no avail. This is the only game of mine that does this, as i play world of warcraft and Starcraft II. Both of those games play fine. I tried restarting my computer and it still crackles.
