You should just get a copy of Windows and run it on Boot Camp, or get Fusion and run Windows. My gal does that so she can run Windows programs on her Mac. Although, ultimately, I would say to just get a PC if you want to play games. Mac's are for people who don't know where the Power Button is and Designers. http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=118

Just because it might be a bit of work(and I'm not even saying this needs to be accomplished before the BIG fixes) doesn't mean that it shouldn't be. The last time I checked this game is a team based game, and because of the current system some of those team members are all but being ignored. There's no way I'll play Sedna/Queen of Thorns/Oak in a Pantheon game if it means I'm going to be ranked 100,000/100,000 while my buddy playing Rook get's to be 1/100,000 because he's ha
Not for us that have been playing for a while, but for new players: yes. More importantly, how will this effect rankings when Pantheon is fixed? Will all the healers/shielders sit at the bottom of the list because they weren't rocking the kills?
Because I want my fair share of the friggen' Favor points [e digicons]X([/e]
Since I didn't want to start a new thread I figured I would bring a relevant one back to life: Support Awards! When my buddies and I always play Demigod I play Sedna. The end score tends to turn out to be something like this: Name Favor Coldfuzion &n
Great team based game. I haven't played a game before where the tide of a battle can change directions so quickly when good team work is involved. The maps are beautiful and all are well layed out. There is a hero for every play style, and regardless of the opinions of some, I think that every character can dominate in their own way. Thanks to the skill trees, there are at least two builds for each hero which allows a lot of room for customizing your play time with each.
Ya, when a host leaves it is usually a problem with the game. Most people don't want to spend the time to get a game started just to quit.
I couldn't help myself LOL
All I have to say is: "Mr. Frogboy, tear down this lag."
"The greatest evil is the indifference of good men/women." Why ignore them if they could get banned from the game and learn a $40 dollar lesson? I support insult spam bot and "Early Quitters"(P.C. Term for Ragers) banning. I'm hudsonave, and I approve this message [e digicons][/e]
It's a system which manages to be both surprisingly considerate, and outrageously rude.
I love that line.
Just think about it. (I just want to say that I love Demigod, and I totally thought of all of this during a game where our Sim Speed was just abysmal.)
It's not a waste of time if at least one person finds it useful :P Besides, Demigod Database's Favor item list doesn't look half that good
I run a Left 4 Dead server, and this just makes me very angry and very sad. If it is at 20 bucks I might get it, but anything above that I just refuse. To think of all the bugs at the beginning of the game, and the slow release time of content, much less the time waiting for the SDK. Left 4 Dead 2 will come out at around a year from the release of the first one. That is ridiculous.
I will never get those 35 minutes of my life back. Staying in that game was the biggest waste of my time and what did I get out of it? NOTHING.
You gained a bit of play experience at worst, but gained respect from the community. I keep everyone's names down that end up leaving a game before finish. I, nor my friends, will play with people on said list without some serious consideration. You rock.
The more I think about it, the more I think that this is all a moot conversation. At least until the next patch comes along and we see where ending a game moves from there. The only problem I have with people quitting early is a display of respect. When you click on that Multiplayer button, anyone who has ever played an online game should understand the "risk" they are taking. Will you get into a game with equally talented teammates? Will the other team be a punching bag ever
::Bump::
I made quite a goof of myself today when I didn't even realize that there were a specialized version of Favor items for your type of Demigod(Assassin/General). Whether it's by bad design(like some people think) or I just never had the time to sit and look at the screen well at the beginning of the game, I just never noticed it. I tried to find it on the forums but had no luck so I took it into the game. While there I decided that maybe it would be useful if people could have a readily
Potentially, yes. Opening ports can leave you a bit more secure. If you are running a firewall on your computer though, you shouldn't have much to worry about. Try Windows Defender(If you're desperate) or try something like Zone Alarm(go to download.com and type that in).
Hmm...doesn't seem like it would be your computer's problem. It's most likely something with your router. Have you attempted to open the ports before? You most likely can find your router type here: http://portforward.com/ And use the information within to open those ports. The ports(as by forum posts) are: 6100-6200 TCP 6000-6200 UDP A more in depth article can be found here: <a href="http:/
If Makerz suggestion does not help, it may help for you to put your specs into the post. What is your computer's stats? What router are you using if you are using one? Is your modem a router/modem? Etc...
Ah okay. So I was just being an idiot. ::looks sheepish:: Didn't even realize there was another tab for favor items
colinwtisdale - Hey man, I recently ran into some issues with Demigod when I had a bunch of friends over to do a bit of a Friday night LAN/Drinking party. For some reason we were having issues getting everyone hooked up and functioning. I was able to get two people on, but coulnd't get the 3rd or the 4th. Thankfully one of my friends was around who knew a bit more about Routers than I did. I own a Linksys WRT54G2-V1 and what we did was we opened the ports through the Port Trig
I was in a game today with a buddy of mine and we were constantly being attacked by what appeared to be a Finger of God. Now, I've heard people say in other forum posts that there is a favor item called "Heaven's Wrath", but can't seem to find it inside the favor items. Now, I've played many games so far where this phenomenon has occured. However, this game was simply ridiculous in this mysterious attacks strikes, and it always showed as the same guy(playing Regulus) getting the kill.
I agree that there should be some kind of quitting system installed for those people who've already given up hope of achieving victory. That would be a quick way of fixing a lot of people's issues. However, that doesn't help with the people that are still going to continue to Rage Quit even when that is implemented. Maybe the Rage Quit thing urks me more because I've been playing Left 4 Dead since beta. I host a public server for
