1- If you use only enhanced particle beam in the desing and then add the predictive targeting module, the bonus doesnt seem to apply (both here and when you build the ship). If you add normal particle beams everything works fine. Whats more if you add one particle beam and then rest enhanced particle beams and then the predictive targeting modules , the bonus is applied correctly also to the enhanced beams. Excited about this:). I liked Gal Civ 3 also in the begining, tough for sure it became really good only with crusade. I loved the more complex resource management and the super planets (capitals and the precursor ones), I loved creating those superworlds with careful planing, adjecancy bonuses and improvements. I hope GalCiv4 will be not only good but great from the start:). I am a bit worried about this super scale, from my gaming experience its very hard to make complex, deep

Yea i think to carrers are op atm. What is even imho worse is not the raw power which is alone op but the hidden perks: 1- If you win by a good margin, no repairs!!!. This makes a huge boon , i had my carrer fleet destroy 8 enemy fleets in one round, taking no dmg as only the fighters got killed. with normal ships it wouldnt be possible, i would take dmg each fight and would have to head back for repairs long before the 8 fights, 2- The automatic instant upgrades o

For me AI was on of my top appeal for the game. It was clearly superior to other 4x games i played. I remember my shock when first time i i tought i had the ultimate design countering AIs ships, and then it started to change them to counter mine:). It was really good.
“Teddy bears.” Desjani pointed at the chubby, furry image. “We were attacked by teddy bears?” The Snathi are squirrels, not teddy bears. Those people are actually under attack by the Ewoks.
Hmm you are correct, but for some reason the Snathi jumped to my mind , not the Ewoks:).

As i was reading a sci fi book by J.Campbell Beyond the Frontier:Invincible , a fast conclusion formed in my mind: the heroes are screwed , they have meet the Snathi :) : “(...)There are various—Oh, you mean this time? We haven’t had time to get the real remains and manipulate them. Those are still in quarantine. But we had virtual copies made and were able to play with those until we fit them together.” The doctor made fitting t

Thanks for the replies, tough i dont really agree with what you wrote. Situations where you cant scout anyway an enemy will force you to or avoid that situation alltogether or wait till you have a super army of doom. Both imho doesnt add to fun or strategy thinking For lack of retreating and lack of indication one of the "sleeping beaties" has actually awakend and is hunting you, its again imho unfortunate because you cant expand/level up without exploring and r

Hi, i just played a couple of hours of FE LH and i had great fun. Atm in my game i got a wasteland near me with caves that i started to explore. While the starting ones were winnable, i started to bump into ones that slaughtered me without problems. So a couple of questions: 1-I think its good they are so tough but my problem is i cant seem to be able to scout it anyway.Whan i got normal lairs/monsters roaming i can see more or less their strenght. Here its tottaly charge intot the

I was one of poeple who preordered elemental war of magic before, and while not hating the game , i was overall disspointed , specially with ai that didnt challenge you. Now i have played i think at least 6 hours of fallen enchantress and i think its a great game, what elemental should be, great stuff having it for free For me ai on normal was challenging , lost first 4 games, now wining my fifth. So im really happy with this, will try further dif

I disagree i played a lot in galciv and imho it was the most reacting feeling alive AI i have meet in any game. Not sure what you mean by cheating but if you mean bonus to resarch resources etc. it said in beginig clearly when choosing difficulty level at which level AI gets advantages.I lawys played the hardest without any advantage to the computer and itwas alwys fun. It was actually the only game i really felt the IA is reacting to what im doing, how im designing my s

oh superb , i feel my love to stardock again, thats really fair . Hope they can make a great game comparable to galciv2 cause with all the free stuff they give and support for eLemental which i am guesing isnt selling much, they must be atm really loosing some money.

Sure , i will prolly stay interested in Fallen Enchantress, but no preoerder this time, and no buying before reading a few reviews and posts on forums.... On unrelated note i seem to be like a magnet to broken games , whenever i really become interested ina n upcoming game , it usually ends bad.(anyone old enogh to remember moo3 ? i was a strong follower:)) Just recently I bought Sword of the Stars 2 , the first part is great.Well with the second part the developer

Hmm i agree with most what you wrote, about magic and AI. Altough with AI the funny thing is altough it gets very powerful units fast and tons of cities, its really very dumb and doesnt use them (on challenging level) so you can take your time and hit it city by city.I had a power of 9 compared to 50 of my enemy and i got his 4 cities...No retaliation whatsover or any organised attack on my cities...

I am a big fan of Galciv 2 , loved the game and loved in past master of magic so i pre ordered Elemental. After reading initial reviews waited 2-3 months before playing.I wasnt totally disspointed , but sum to sum it wasnt a game i really liked so i shelved it. Now after lots of time , since im sick and got some free time :), i decided to give it a second try, hoping that with the time Stardock had to improve it maybe it finally started to shine. Not reallly:( </p
i would rather play what i have now, than wait till February. i would hazard a guess that most of the problems that we are seeing now will probably be ironed out by the end of September. this will give me oct, nov, dec, jan to enjoy the game, i just don't see the problem here.
You cant make a second first good impression. You cant erase negative reviews(wholy justified or onl;y partly).Imho thi si
Quoting FireStorm10, reply 210 But im pretty confused and saddened by what happned here (supposedly as i havent run my game as written above). A free piece of advice: Ignore the forums. They are full of trolls who, after being disappointed for one reason or other, blow the whole issue way out of proportion. Most people who actually like elemental are playing it and not frequenting the game's forum

The elemental video looks really cool. As for Starcraft 2 for me it will be prlly like sc1 and all other rts: reasoanbly fun .. if i can slow it down almost to a crawl:).I dont like the element of arcade and multitasking speed in strategy games, and in in sc in multiplayer its like a huge part.Stil i hope the single player cvampaign to be good and fun for me , in sc1 it was fantastic, when slowed down to max:)
