For $129, Sign me up! For $129 i could get my father to stop using the silly Weatherbug program!

People are so silly!!!!!!! Let's analyze what's actually going on here: #1. DesktopX is FREE!!!!!! You can make an object and tell people you know to install desktopX and run your object. #2. Even with a fancy "DX Object as an EXE" It's still going to need the same program running in the background on the computer. The EXE packaging is not removing pieces of the main DX infrastructure. The only thing it would be missing would be object editing tools and config
Personally I dont think $499 is a bad price. I've even considered buying it, but I think i'll wait till version 3.
its actually very cool. It's just the sort of silly fad that would pick up. I'm not calling yoru work silly by any means though. Just that people like to adopt things that are "different", which is kinda silly :) I would definately stick with it. Wherever you wind up going to college would surely have a few local artsy shops that might want to sell something like that.
jeeeeze What ever happened to the old days when you pay the neighbors kids $20 to do it? Ok well times are different, but I garuntee you'd find some neighborhood teenagers that would more than happen to spend an afternoon putting up x-mas lights and earning $50-$100.
I hate you! It's just plain wrong to post that kind of detail in a place that men can read!
You underestimate men's tendancy to lie in order to get you in bed :)
I'm saying when 90% of the content of a particular newsgroup is illegal files, it would be justifiable. To be honest i'm very surprised most ISP's carry USENET at all these days since the VAST majority of their customers dont even know that it exists. I cant even imagine how much daily bandwidth is used to replicate all the binary groups. I think it's much more reasonable for an ISP to block filesharing and binary newsgroup access than to be petty about my "running a web serv
I never understood the arguement that windows is expensive. For about $99 you get a complete operating system, cd burning, media player, movie producer, web browser, mail/news reader, backup software, etc. Just because Linux is free does not make Windows expensive at $99, just like Internet Explorer being free did not make Netscape expensive at $30. My only other comment is that it's SUPPORT that is the key issue for businesses not adotping Linux and features. IT techies do n
I'm a little younger than you (27) but I know what you mean. When I get like that I solve it by re-adjusting my mode of thinking. Often I end up getting into this mode of thinking like "I need to play on the computer because it's the only thing that keeps me sane when dealing with all the other pieces of life." This is a rediculous way of living that leaves me feeling doomed to always be miserable. A few mental screw drivers can fix my thinking back into the proper way of li
One and a half times??? Sounds like the average american male needs to see a doctor about that little "pre mature" problem of not completing the second round :)
What I dont understand is why these companies don't just unsubscribe from the warez/mp3z/moviez groups entirely. I doubt it would heave nearly as much bad press or push back as all the broadband providers who say "You can't run a server, which includes Kazaa etc"
Wow i'd love a JoeUser T-shirt. I'd probably even buy one if I'm not in the top ranking by then!
Actually sounds like a fun movie...hard to find people who like oddball movies so i'll definately check back. I'm usually the guy at the video store who passes by all the "garunteed in stock" movies and looks for indie films. web log = weBLOG = BLOG (and most mammals would *bite* your limbs off not suck them off!)
no pressure but we're all waiting and it better be damn good! hehe Actually dont ever recall anything I've seen your name on that's not very good. cant wait to see it.
chicken :P
Yea Jill that's just the thing. It's not even about the fear. A war on terrorism is rediculous in the first place. It's not an isolated group that you can kill and it'll be over. It's an entire culture that does not like us. Even if you kill Saddam and put pictures of it everywhere...there will still be someone who says "That was just one of his doubles, I'm still in contact with him" and inspire a whole new breed. They could even tell people "Yes Saddam died, and he left me in
Please let me know when terrorism surrenders.
I can see how that might seem to make sense, but if they really didnt care if other people read it, they'd start a text file or a word document and save it on their computer.
If anyone sees a cute redhead, about 5'6", 105-135 lbs, green eyes, preferably very intelligent......pick her up for me and we'll exchange gifts :)
"What the heck does those numbers mean on top of the article we post???" I just got the official word on this the other day. Home = Number of times your post was viewed by people reading your actual home page (or the main homepage if your article gets featured. Selected = NUmber of times your article was viewed on a page all by itself, for example clicking on it from the recent articles list. Channel = Reads from the channel-home pages.
This will be great for making file-type icons to match themes. Often times an icon theme will come with 40 or so File Type Icons, but I want them ALL...so as long as somoene includes the blank file icon I'll be able to add logos on top of them. Even if they dont match the theme perfectly it'll still be pretty cool!
Yea we stayed in touch for a little while after I moved, and then he wound up moving to Gorgia with his boyfriend and we dont really talk anymore.
John Denver with the Muppets is the best Christmas album EVER. And i totally agree with you. They're starting the xmas music WAY too early this year. Even when they start it just after Thanksgiving it gets tiresome by the time xmas actually comes...but this is rediculous. Most of the reason is that there's rarely new Christmas songs that aren't parodies. Mostly it's people re-recording old songs. Two of the very very few new xmas songs are John Lennon - "So This Is Chr
Non email tracking I like the feature of tracking new comments on articles....however I rarely do it because I dont want to get emails all the time. I think it would be alot nicer if I could have an in-web notifier of tracked articles. Then not only would I be notfied, but it could also clear when I actually visit the article, as opposed to sorting/deleting individual emails. I've also thougth it would be nice to have my own personal links to blog sites I like to read. I r
